Cracker Barrel — Amarillo

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Overnight parking at this Cracker Barrel along I-40 in Amarillo runs free, no reservations required, and the lot includes long pull-through lanes sized for trailers and big rigs. Drive-in access is straightforward from the interstate. Amenities include drinking water, restrooms, WiFi, and cell service, making it a functional stop for cross-country travelers who need more than a rest area.

The lot fills up. Reviewers note the RV-designated section was at or near capacity on multiple visits, which pushed some campers to the side lot near the front entrance. Roughly seven dedicated spots are available, and five of those were taken on one recent stop. Noise is the other factor worth planning around: train horns carry through the night, and highway sound from I-40 can be noticeable depending on wind direction. Spicy N. noted, "make sure you bring earplugs if you want a quiet rest."

Travelers routing through the Texas Panhandle will find campgrounds near Amarillo if they need hookups or a more structured setup. The Amarillo Ranch RV Park and Big Texan RV Ranch are both a couple of miles east along the I-40 corridor. For another no-cost parking option nearby, Amarillo Sam's Club sits just to the southwest. This Cracker Barrel stop makes the most sense for road-trippers who want a quick overnight with a restaurant breakfast in the morning.

Love Cracker Barrel

There are approximately 7 spots and 5 were taken and that’s great. I’m thankful for Cracker Barrel being so kind to provide a portion of their parking for traveling people like us

Train Horn Wale Up Call

Driving cross country & we stopped here for the night. Parking lot was almost full-We parked next to a large sea-container. The only down side is the numerous train horns—throughout the night. So make sure you bring earplugs if you want a quiet rest.

They do have long parking lanes for trailers-which is nice!

Nice visit

Stayed last night on a long run from Utah to Oklahoma. Parked on the east side of the restaurant. Wind was from the north, so the noise from I-40 was very subdue. Very few others in the lot.

Nice Respit After a Long Drive

We overnighted at the Cracker Barrel located at: 2323 E Interstate Dr. in Amarillo, TX 79104. There was plenty of RV parking but it was full. So we parked in the side lot near the front. We got some Highway noise over night but we were fine. This was great place to rest and the breakfast was really great!
