Needed a place overnightQuickly.

I found. This campground on a quick search. Two days out from. Texas while he's traveling from California. Down in Arizona, through New Mexico. And I normally just use. A Cracker Barrel and start up my generator. But due to the. Heat in Texas. My generator kept shutting down, so I knew. I need to get a place with just the basics, electric and water. Which I found here and the price was great

Convenient, clean, cats

Good campground with convenient location right off the highway, clean bathrooms, showers and lots of friendly cats. Arrived after hours, but camp host left codes for bathrooms, etc.  Was a bit pricy for what it was, but saved alot of time finding a free site in the state forest.

Convenient

Right off the highway, it was just what we needed in an overnight stay. Lots of landscaping adds privacy to some spots. It’s noisy and bright, since it is literally next door to a large truck stop. Also, didn’t feel quite as safe because of that, but it was fine for one night.

Convenient

Left KOA which has 3 day limit, met with super nice office worker. Nice site, well kept and pride taken in keeping this campground looking nice. Close to gas and food. Would stay again.

Perfectly suitable for an overnight

Made an attempt to stay at Palo Duro State Park w/out reservations. Epic fail! Pulled in to ORVP and found a nice little spot. Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean! And they have the cutest little lovebug kitty that will come over and hang out. This is not the park to stay at if you’re seeking peace and solitude beneath the stars, but it’s wicked convenient to I-40 and therefore wicked noisy!

Nice enough but...

Called ahead and they were pleasant on the phone. Reserved a pull through with a small fenced in area for our dogs. After arriving and setting up a staff member came by to tell us to keep our dogs quiet because Mike Huckabee was staying in an RV near us. Of course when they pulled up in their golf cart and approached our camper the dogs started barking. I told the woman the only time they bark is when you come by in the golf cart. She reiterated her request to keep them quiet and retreated into the golf cart and sped away. Facilities were nice enough just not the older couple who run the place.

Good location, still our choice for Amarillo

We stayed here in September, 2020. It is ideally located for our trip home from Colorado. It is still our first choice in the Amarillo area, but it has gone down from what it was a few years ago. Well laid out campsites and mostly pull throughs. Friendly staff and appropriate check in during the Covid 19 epidemic.

Great overnight spot

Friendly staff. Several travelers walking dogs and also friendly. Clean campground under the trees that made the city site feel like you were in a park. Amenities were perfect. It’s right off I-40, which is very convenient, however be advised you will hear interstate traffic noise. No problem for us though!
