Great park to hike and although most of the RV spots are not very level there are a few good ones. 30amp, no sewer hookups, dump station, shared water spigots. Very shady and during the week very quiet. Best suited for smaller RVs but there are a couple of spots for larger ones.
Quaint park tucked away in the hills of VA in Big Stone Gap next to South Fork Powell River. Although our site is right on top of our neighbor, that is NOT the norm. Sites are spaced out with some full-timers, part-timers and vacationers. The owner allowed us to choose our site, and after having…

Had a great weekend at Natural Tunnel State Park. This campground stays booked up but was able to get in on a cancellation for the upcoming weekend. Just happened to be the one day a year the tunnel is open to walk through (it’s an active railroad and closed otherwise).

Great place, love the river. Fireflies every night and within walking/biking distance of a great little town with a coffee shop, brewery, and a few restaurants.
Great little park located in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia beside of Leeman Field park in Pennington Gap. Easy sites to get into with full hookups. Clean restroom/bathhouse on site, group picnic area/outdoor fireplace, and horseshoes at the campground. Neighboring Leeman Field park has…

Nice spacious sites that are mostly level. Be sure to fill water tank before arrival as there are very few sites with water. All RV sites have electric. 50amp is available on select sites. Narrow paved lanes through campground, however didn't have an issue with our 38' fifth wheel and crew cab…
Very clean and well maintained. Locating directly in the river makes it a very serene atmosphere. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking during our stay.
We had the best time at Buck Hill Campground! I got the idea to go camping near Linville for Memorial Day weekend and most places with online reservations were already booked up (oops). SO HAPPY I called this place! The owner Chris and his family were so kind and helpful, and the campground was…

We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed so much! Be sure to check out the hot springs mineral bath and the roaring river you can float in! Loved riding our bikes downtown to explore! About 5 miles away in Asheville there is a great coffee shop. Also a place to park and walk to explore more of the…
This is one of our favorite campgrounds. There is lots of lush foliage and streams. The facilities are usually clean and they offer several activities throughout the week. Friendly staff too.
Sites are medium close - I can just hear the AC of the site beside me. Mostly good shade. Good restroom/shower. Mostly quiet. I would stay again.
The campground was very close with people playing music every night until 1 am and it started about 7 am. People partying all night and loud. I turned my air to 60 so it would run and drown out the noise.
I started out coming here with my grandparents in 1978 every summer spending 2 to 4 weeks during the summer up here. Back then it was was all primitive camp sites with no electricity or water hook ups. There were 3 loops with campsites A,B,& C loops each loop had a women's & a men's…
We stayed here overnight just as a stopping point on our trip, but we were pleasantly surprised! Nice pool, very clean park, lots of things for the kids. They have activities on the weekends. We stayed in a pull through site and it was not very level (we had planned to not even unhook from the…
Very friendly family run campground. Very clean and well landscaped complete with a pavilion and plenty of grills.
