Sites right along the water fill up first, offering direct river access where dogs can swim and campers can watch sunsets across the water. The spacing between sites provides privacy, with some reviewers noting their nearest neighbor was 150 yards away. Cell service reaches the area, and a gas station sits just down the road for supplies.
No services exist on-site, so campers pack everything out. The community maintains an informal watch over the area, with local law enforcement making regular passes. Chamberlain lies directly across the river, accessible for dining and exploring. Weather can bring strong winds and sudden storms that turn the dirt roads into challenging mud, making morning departures difficult after overnight rain.
