Best campground in area

Nice park on the east side of Yankton. Would rate much higher except roads need more gravel and there are a few serious dips and bumps in the roads. Really nice staff, super clean restrooms, and nice patio sites for the reasonable rate.

Dog park, pool and other amenities are well maintained.

Good spot for base camp

Mostly appeared long term camps. Staff was nice, didn't have a mwelcome from other campers. Most didn't respond to a waive or hello. It was rainy, roads full of puddles, muddy. Small sites, so close could smell neighbors sewer.

Above average KOA

The pool was fabulous! The kids area was so nice - a playground and a jump pad! Store, laundry, and bathrooms were clean as can be. Sites were tight, minimal grass, butttt the trees were mature enough to offer shade - yay! Didn’t find too much to do in Yankton beyond walking across the old bridge to Nebraska and back! The town park had live music, a park, and was very nice to walk around. For us it was a quick 3 nights so my husband could work - Verizon service was acceptable but not great, maybe a bit overloaded because most sites on premises were booked.

Great Place & Convenient Location

We stayed here originally planning on one night that morphed into three due to weather. It worked out perfectly, we had full hookups even in freezing weather, and access to laundry, bathrooms, and a playground. Located just outside of town, we felt very comfortable even in inclimate weather.

Booking is online. There are three lakes/rivers all within 5 miles of each other. Make sure to visit the dam!
