Cheap and easy stop

Other than dispersed camping, this is the cheapest RV campground we found with electric. If we had a generator, we would have loved dispersed camping. It is too hot for us to go without AC. I guess we have gotten soft in our old age :) easy pull through sites and water/dump available at the entrance/exit. $20 cash per night.

Fresh Water fill only

We stopped to fill with fresh water before going to camp off grid in the badlands. $5 to fill with 100 gallons plus dumping and flushing tanks! Just leave the money in the drop box and you’re good to go. We did see the 8 spot self service campground with long pull through spots for $20 per night. Only electric at the site but the $30 includes filling your tanks and dump station at the front of the camp ground. Nothing fancy but very affordable.

Closed!

There were signs up along the freeway. Nothing indicate that it was closed. Is it for the season? Not sure date of visit was October 19, 2024.

Basic but convenient

Super convenient location right off interstate. Perfect for a quick overnight. Only $20. Friendly host. Easy check-in. Dump station and electricity. No picnic table or fire ring/grill. Access to flush toilets. No potable water.

Diamond in the rough

We were pleasantly surprised with this campground, in an area with very few options. Eight sites behind a gas station is not what we would typically hold in high esteem, but when we pulled in, we met the owners who live on-site and were over-the-top friendly. Their kindness and no-nonsense nature made all the difference. This is a great place to pull in and get a good night’s sleep before continuing down the road. And you can’t beat the price (self-serve registration). There is also a military museum on-site with super cheap admission. RV dump and water to boot!
