Great Little Place to Stop
This is a great little stop over campground for anyone making a trip across the state. We had planned to stop in Mitchell and stay at the Walmart on our way to Badlands, but saw Dakota and decided to give it a try. Full hookup sites, swimming pool and a small arcade for the kids. Definitely recommend this campground if you’re looking for a quick overnighter.
Stay here
$20 quiet after 9pm and very nice facilities
Hidden treasure
Great place for over night or to unwind for a few days. Just off the highway but the noise is minimal at best. Great shade and friendly staff.
Great place for an overnight
Wonderful people, pool, grassy sites with all kinds of hookup. Good Sam snd reasonable rates.
Cute spot for the night!
Perfect little spot! Clean, hot showers, no cut off for checking in and nice grassy area for hanging out. Definitely recommend if you’re traveling through!
Dakota Campgrounds
My sister and I were passing through from Wisconsin. We needed a place just for the night to put up our tent. We called and got a site. The host was super helpful. Nice little place right off the highway. :)

Great place
This is a great little campground just off the highway. They were some of the most friendly and helpful people. I had intended on staying in my tent but when I got there she said that there was a cabin open and I took that. The cabin was a great little place with cold AC but bring your own sheets. Pool was awesome and the bathhouse was very clean. 2 things to point out you turn off on gravel about 300 feet from the intersect mot a big deal but I was on a motorcycle. And due to the lack of rain it was very dusty. Still a great stay and would come back.
Wonderful
Very small but awesome campground, quiet and nice laundry and small store. Owners were very nice and helpful. Would recommend and definitely stay again
Cute and quiet
Lucked out again, super cute and quiet campground. Very accommodating with last minute reservation and adding a second night. Looks as if ran or owned by and older couple and they were super helpful. Love the quiet and can here loads nature sounds. Nice and shady for this part of SD. Nice looking pool, laundry and showers. would definitely recommend and would stay again. Good Sam discount make this a great deal.
Nice campground, friendly owner
We stayed here for a night on our way back to Wisconsin from Yellowstone. I called for a site as we were driving and he said he had availability. We were a late check in but he waited for us and gave us a site right near the entrance which was nice. We didn’t use any their facilities but it was a clean, well maintained campground. Also, it was just off the highway which was nice.
