Any worker over the age of 20 was super rude and they did NOT Re-Book Our Reservation For Next Year The Website sates that it is now being managed by a company called Oasis Marianas. There Are Signs Falling Apart And They Pool Was Water Orange! The Arcade was completely broken the showers were tiny and the entire place is in disrepair. The Gate was taken off the Opener And thrown into the weeds DISAPPOINTING And This Place was NOT CHEAP And Was Super RunDown.

Fun little campground with friendly staff and wide open spaces. Clean bathrooms, great pool, fun little game room. The playground got 2 thumbs up from a 4 and 6 year old. There was a movie night every night. Close to stores (15 mins). The KOA is close to Presque isle and the amusement park, which is a fantastic place for kids. Sites were a good size and comfortable to be around.

Although this is a KOA Holiday, we used it as a KOA Journey on our way to the Catskills. Not too far from the Interstate & there was no highway noise at the campground.
We arrived right at 5pm, which is when they close up, but Victoria went above & beyond & took us right to our site. Good thing, since we were at the back of a confusing layout.
There are sites in this section that have a partial view of the lake, but they looked like seasonal sites. All the sites looked well cared for. We had a pull through on Chestnut Drive. Y1
If you have kids, most of the activities they would be interested in are at the front entrance. If you don't have a golf cart, you may have to drive to the front for the pool, mini golf, basketball court & jumping pillow.
It doesn't look like they have many cabins.
There's another playground in the back that was getting used. There was supposed to be a splash pad, but I didn't see an evidence of that.
The bathroom/shower house are duel toilet/showers. Not my favorite, but we didn't have any trouble getting in.
We used the back exit on our way out, which was convenient. At least we didn't have to go back to the front entrance!
BTW, Victoria is a treasure! She's friendly & goes above& beyond for customer service. We really appreciated the time she took with us.

Hidden gem! Love the seclusion of this campground. Very clean restrooms. Fantastic lake for kayaking, fishing, swimming, etc. Currently, our favorite local escape destination!

GuidePark is mostly for seasonal camping with family oriented activities. Pads are gravel and grass. Campground needs general upkeep. Bathhouse needs repair or replacement. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
ScoutSites aren't on top of each other. Best sites are along the river and store has lots of fishing supplies. Wifi was too weak at my tent site and Verizon service was mostly unavailable. The site has a tire rim fire pit and picnic table with electric and water. Gravel pad where I parked was nearly level. Bathroom was cleaned the day I used shower and hot water was good. Prices for the site was $31/night and this was early season. I'm in a pickup with rooftop tent.

We stayed at Sparrow Pond Family Campground for a special long-weekend to view the Total Solar Eclipse. Their normal season doesn’t open until later in April, but they opened for 5-days for people like us who wanted a good spot for the eclipse. Since the normal season hadn’t yet opened, not all amenities/facilities were open but they put on a lot of activities to make the stay fun.

This is truly one of my favorite state parks to camp at. The whole campground is mostly wooded with hardly a bad site. They have primitive, electric only and full hookups available. This is definitely a family friendly campground. If you're into hiking there's lots to see here. There's no camp store in the campground, who is something they could improve upon, but you can get supplies nearby.

ScoutI went here the second week in October 2023 for a fall leaves photography trip. The campground owner is pleasant and available when needed. The place was fairly empty and I loved the quiet. Reasonable full hookup rates. The pulls ins are a bit of a draw on levelness, but none are horribly unlevel. I was in the "B1" and it's a bit larger than the others as it's on the corner. It had a nicely level spot on a gravel drive for my 21 ft travel trailer. Part of the pull in is a bit uphill, but at the top it's perfect for the smaller trailer like mine plus my Ford Explorer. I'm a 63 yo woman and had no issues hooking up. As I pulled out I stopped at the store to say goodbye. I realized I forgot to grab my garbage bag (left it sitting near the picnic table). She said don't worry about it I'll have the guys grab it for you. Nice woman! The entire camp is beautifully wooded and it's a remote area. Nearest town for groceries is 30 mins, but it was on my way to Allegheny State Park and Kinzua dam, so not a bad drive. Going to come back next year!

The Staff Was rude and called our camper too long when it is only 34 feet!
ScoutCampground was clean and well maintained. Only issue we ran into was that the fire pit was not cleaned out after the last folks. It wasn’t a huge deal but there we had quite a bit of debris and wet ash to deal with. The wash houses scattered throughout are new and very clean. The one across from our site had 4 private bathrooms with a toilet and shower. Very well patrolled and tons of stuff to do within biking/running/driving distance.

My husband and I stayed in Teepee number 3. He has never camped before except being a marine. We love it. The ladies at the front desk answered all our questions and gave us suggestions on places to go. It was Halloween themed weekend and the extent of planning they do for the patrons was outstanding. We stayed in site C6 one of the reservable sites. Every site has plenty of room. Campground overall is quiet. And most if not all of the full hookups are pull throughs. But seems many of the tent sites are on grades. Couple beautiful walk in tent sites right on the water. Plenty of nice hiking trails. Great beach for kids.

Pros - Sites are well spaced and most have plenty of trees in between.
Shower house is clean.
Multiple buildings with flush toilets throughout primitive section.
Large beach area for swimming.
Boat launch and dock.
Multitude of trails to get to lakeshore from different points in campground.
All of the roads and parking pads in the primitive section are paved.
Cons - The campground "host" in the primitive section was by far the loudest and most disruptive site in the entire campground for the 7 days we were there. Multiple dogs barking all day and night, people yelling and cussing at each other, giant fires every evening, screaming instructions to their children halfway across the campground.(Not the "manager" in the RV section)
Roads and parking spots in RV section are gravel, which would be fine, except for the ruts from water flow that need filled back in.
There are several RV sites that have the electrical boxes installed but supposedly never had the wires ran and so power is not available yet. The manager said it has been like that for quite a while now but will supposedly be fixed by next year (2024).
GuideNice and spacious sites. Great launch area from the campground to set out on your kayak or paddle board. Walkable to the marina and beach area. Beach area was small but clean and had new sand. The bathhouse was clean and maintained. There was a small swing area in the campground but you kind of had to walk through some sites to get to it. No hiking from the campground. We did ride our bikes out of the grounds and through town a little to the Pymatuning Spillway trail. The trail head was a bit of a challenge to find. We entered behind the church in town. The trail was great and we stopped at the spillway to feed the carp. On our return we found out that the trail was finished a little further down from where we entered and we rode to the end over a bridge and back into town. We had Verizon cell service at the campground.

This place was recommended to us and we really did not know what to expect. Our site was right along the water. We have sites 76,77,78. Some sites were better than others. Some pros were water access, fire pits having grates, privacy. Some cons were the bathrooms were stinky porta potty things that never had toilet paper or lights at night and the hike to your car from your site. There is no service there so make sure everyone is on the same page. The camp offers ice and wood for a small fee which was convenient and there were nice bathrooms with showers about a min drive away.
TravelerStayed here two separate times summer of '23. Each time we look loved it! The sites are HUGE, plenty of space for our 30' TT, truck, and screen house. Nice large parks, mini-golf, and jump pad. Only complaint I had was the pool was undersized for the number of sites they have and it is in need of some repairs to fix tiles that are falling off. Some great views of the lake and surrounding area. Night sky was perfect for viewing stars!
GuideThis was our second trip to the Erie KOA for a soccer tournament in Edinboro. Our trip was almost ruined when our popup cable system failed and we could not use our camper. The staff was able to move us to a cabin and prevent us having to find other accommodations. They even stopped over to check on us after we swapped sites.
The kids enjoyed fishing in the pond and were able to catch a large small mouth bass and lots of blue gills.
Wish we had been able to use our original site overlooking the pond but the cabin provided what we needed.
