The Perfect Spot

We have a camper, but wanted to take the kids tent camping for a change, and this was the perfect place. It’s first come first serve, but we lucked out with a huge spot, shady, right beside the gorgeous creek, and also the closest to the toilet (which did occasionally send a slight scent our way,…

This place is charming

Apparently lots of other folks agree, many seasonal campers here. Quiet tonight with only 4 or 5 empty spots. We arrived after closing but host drove me hind us. Seamless check in, easy hook up showers were very hot good pressure home made . Love it here 5+. Close to I80.

Clean beautiful campground

We loved this campground! We were back in the electric only campground area right on the creek. It was very quiet back there and water fill on your way in. The creek makes the most beautiful flowing sound.

The pool was clean and the kids loved swimming in it

I was thankful for laundry room to…

Great Spot

We loved it here. I hiked in with my kids. Easy hike and doable with kids if they are used to hiking. Lots of spaces, but it can get crowded on the weekends. The vault toilets were convenient. It is bear territory so brought a bear cannister, but I didn't hear of anyone having any issues.

Laid back

Nice little campground. Very quiet. Sites are generously sized. Roads are paved. The lake is very small with a swimming beach area.

Allegany, Quaker Lake

Went in June, they were basically just opening. Grass wasn’t cut, got nasty bites from chiggers. Quaker store had essential gear but it was left over from last season. Just wouldn’t recommend going in June. Save it for July or August.

Okay campground

Overall a nice campground! The sites were nice and big. Our site was perfect!! There were very limited sites that had shade! A lot of their sites were in an open field. They had a huge pool that was advertised as heated but was so cold it felt like they dumped ice cubes in it. I wish they had more…

Gangs of unruly kids on bikes

We used to enjoy this campground. Nice paved roads inside, fairly level sites depending on location. Some sites are very private and others are open with no privacy. In the back loop the sites are set up for group camping, so if not traveling with multiple friends/family with campers avoid those…

Try to stay once a year

This has become a very popular campground and reservations fill quickly. We usually try for an entire family outing here once a year in October. Very nice, clean campground on the river. We have stayed in sites and a cabin, but never one of the yurts. Family friendly and not overly crowded.

Beautiful lake site, infested with Gyspy Moth caterpillars.

We booked this campsite in February and we were not told of the Spray block to be used to treat that part of the forest for Gyspy Moth caterpillars that filled our campsite. We were pelted for 4 days with droppings and leaf particles from them eating the oak trees. Other than that, the site was…
