Located one mile east of RT6, turn left onto Tollgate Road. From I-80 E or W: take 66 E 40 miles to 948. Take 948 for 9 miles to the 666N, follow 666 to Sheffield. Turn right down Horton Ave. (sign posted on Rte. 6), at the intersection with Rte. 6 turn right and the campground is the next turn immediately on the left.

Relaxing

Beautiful gravel and wood chip site right along a small slow moving creek. At night when the sun sets and the fire burns it creates a wonderful camping experience. And they are very dog freindly.

Lost the reservation

I will not be going back. They lost our reservation and the staff was very rude. After they lost the reservation they blamed me and did not take responsibility until days later. They charged my account and were very reluctant to return my money. This was very disappointing after taking time off of work, packing up the car, and driving an hour and a half to treated like this.

Clean beautiful campground

We loved this campground! We were back in the electric only campground area right on the creek. It was very quiet back there and water fill on your way in. The creek makes the most beautiful flowing sound.

The pool was clean and the kids loved swimming in it

I was thankful for laundry room to wash everything before our next stop.

The owners are incredible and gave us lots of great Info on where to go see things and where to eat!

Beautiful and natural meets comfortable and convenient

Whispering winds provides convenient hookup sites with fire pits and level gravel lots all along a beautiful rolling stream that provides natural music to create a relaxing environment. We loved the location, the registration and owner/ hosts. Clean, quiet and easily accessible.
