Don Laine Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Set along the eastern edge of Carbon County, Don Laine Campground sits outside Palmerton with views toward the surrounding mountain ridgelines and open countryside. The campground runs from May 1 through November 1 and accommodates everything from tent campers to large rigs up to 65 feet, with full electric, water, and sewer hookups available. Sites are spacious. A dump station, drinking water, showers, and WiFi round out the utility side of the setup.

The activity calendar here sets this campground apart from more stripped-down options. Weekends bring organized events for multiple age groups, including bingo, music, and tricky tray events. An on-site restaurant means campers are not locked into cooking at their site, and the camp store carries enough supplies to cover most forgotten items. A heated pool, playground, and golf cart rentals add to the draw for families. Reviewers also note horseback riding is occasionally available on the property.

Crowd patterns follow a predictable rhythm: weekends fill up, while weekdays run considerably quieter. One reviewer notes the staff creates an atmosphere where "you feel like you're a part of the family," which reflects the social, community-oriented character of the place. Deer and rabbits are regularly spotted in the evenings. Reservations are strongly recommended for weekend stays. Pets are welcome.

Nearby, Chestnut Lake Campground and The Woods Camping Resort give campers additional reference points when comparing options in the region. Don Laine suits those who want a full-service, activity-driven stay with reliable amenities and a consistent returning crowd.

Great campground

Check in was a little off, but everything was fine after that. The site we got was fine. Everyone we met was friendly . Cable company was odd, they wanted us to call them to get it working or log in, so we didn't use it. Nice hiking trails, horseback riding available at times , golf cart rentals. Heated pool , nice playground for kids.

This is hands down our favorite campground!

We LOVE this campground - it is our absolute favorite. Super friendly staff, you feel like you're a part of the family. Excellent music and entertainment. They have awesome tricky trays, bingo, and more! The food they sell is delicious too!!!

Hidden Gem in the Poconos Mts!

Don Laine campground is right up the road from where we used to live and our temporary home now whenever we are back in the area to visit family & friends! This campground has everything you could possibly want & more whether you are here for a night or a month! We have been here in summer & fall and there are planned activities for both young and old every weekend they are open. They have basic to full hookup up campsites that are spacious with beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding countryside! They also have a swimming pool and very well stocked camp store so if you forgot something they probably have it in the store. They also have an on site restaurant that is open if you don't feel like cooking at your campsite. Oh and don't forget to watch for the rabbits and deer that appear every evening to entertain you! Packed on the weekends but quiet during the week but I highly recommend making your reservation early because this is a great place to stay!!
