WIll not come back

Web site claims "Drinking Water" is available. However, the water coming out of the tap was brown, probably full of rust and minerals. The host told us not to drink the water, only use for toilet flushing and maybe shower. The county claims it is safe, I don't believe them.

Great Established Campground

We got here late but met the friendly camp host. Awesome campsites near restrooms, had a picnic table and fire pit with a fold over grill for cooking food. Not free camping!! Paid $25 for the night but it was worth it. We would stay here again.

Quiet even on a busy holiday weekend

Stayed in Yurt #2 in the Yurt village on Fathers Day weekend. There was also a fishing tournament this weekend, so the park was completely full. The Yurt Village stayed very quite. Most noise was the Trucks/Boat coming and leaving the boat ramp which is about 400yds away.

Yurt #2 & 3 are deluxe yurts. All this means is you get a larger deck and propane firepit. To use the firepit you need to bring your own propane, large 20lb style. The Yurts have solar lights inside and out, not sure how long they run, but they lasted us a weekend with conservative use. There is 2 pit style bathrooms in the yurt village. Bathrooms are located at the parking lot.

The yurt village is a ways from the RV/Tent sites. Not a quick or easy walk.

Parking at the yurt village is a little walk from #2 and #3. Best to bring a wagon or such to help transport. Its about 100yd walk each way.

There are 3 beds, one full side bottom with a twin bunk on top and one full size futon. There is a dining table and 4 chairs. There is no running water, bring your own water. I saw a fountain near the parking lot, but did not test it.

While it says no pets, one other yurt had two well behaved dogs. The park knew and didnt stop them, so make your own decision with your pets but dont ruin it for others please.

Weather was pretty good for us. No mosquitoes, though lots of nats but able to sit outside all day without being bothered too much.

Would Definitely Recommend!

I had amazing time here this last Labor Day weekend with all my friends! I haven’t been camping in a couple years due to my anxiety after being diagnosed with IBS but this campsite eased my worries and I was finally able to enjoy myself with my friends! My only complaint was that they ran out of toilet paper a lot and it would take a long time for it to get filled and the toilet needs to be cleaned out more often but other than that, no complaints here! If you loved camping at fisherman’s bend, you’ll like it here! While I didn’t see any showers while I was there, the campsite was tidy and the sizes of the sites varied. There were even sites for RV and Yurts you could rent out. The boat dock/swim area isn’t too much further from the campsite. But you won’t get much service if you have TMobile. My friend that has AT&T had one bar but that was about it. I highly recommend and will DEFINITELY be visiting as often as possible! It’s my new favorite campsite!

Quiet and Clean

We camped in Mid June and were 1 of 3 sites occupied. The campground was extremely clean and quiet. The park host and ranger were helpful and made sure they were available for any questions or needs we had. We stayed on loop A and some of the sites are close together. Be prepared to bring in enough water and the sites have no electricity. For trailer camping I would recommend loop A as it is newest and has 4 drive through spots. Overall, would definitely come back. It was a quick drive to the boat ramp which to the left has access to a small rocky beach area my kids loved exploring.

Beautiful and secluded

The grounds are well kept and is quite beautiful. If you are a hammock camper or bring one to relax in this is NOT the campground for you. The trees are protected in the area and hammocks dig into the bark so they are banned with a certain limit.

Nice and quiet

Nice campgroud lots of spaces and not over crowded. Only complaint is that the camp sites are pretty small. They were mostly paved driveways which are good if you have a trailer but isn't as convenient with a tent

Clean and Good Infrastructure

Paved roads, clean grounds, picnic tables on concrete slabs so no animals can hide out and wait for snacks. Well organized campground. The boat ramp could use some renovations to allow multiple launch lines and better parking. Can be a zoo around the ramp in the afternoon so be prepared.

Can get a bit noisy when full but was very quiet at night time. Didn’t help that our neighbor liked to play country music at an unacceptable level 😡, but eventually figured out they were annoying fellow campers.

Decent campground

Kinda small camping spots depending on which site you get. Has a boat launch so bring boats. No swimming access easily. Trails were over grown, park host said they haven’t gotten around to maintaining them. Would have been a better experience if people followed quiet time hours and just were respectful of others. We had super loud neighbors who partied with music until at least 2 am each night. Then blasted music all day long. It made the experience not enjoyable. My experiences it’s a campground for people who are going to be out boating in the daytime and partying in the night time.

Camping on a peninsula in the mist of Green Peter

Your in the woods at this location, bring your boats/canoe/kayak the reservoir is huge to explore.

The campground is only open in the summer and as of 2018 has some wonderful updates on Loop “A” and Loop “C” (new tables, and site pads, and fire rings). Loop “B” is still rustic and not a bad site to sit. There are a few Double site can hold two campers. There is not water or electricity, bring it in and pack it out. Can accommodate big rigs, or small tents. There are four pull through sites. Best to RSVP through ww.linnparks.com on popular weekends or take your change for any open sites, if no sites available head up Quartzville past mile marker 17 and park along the road for free, only where there are metal fire rings.

Cheap, Nice, Fun!

This such a nice cheap campground, and it’s super close to a boat ramp onto Green Peter! You can check in online or in person, which is extremely convenient. It’s a scenic drive on your way there, once you get there they have spots for RVs, or tents. They do have outhouse style bathrooms and no showers though, hence why it’s so cheap likely. Great for a weekend getaway though!

Great Family Campground

My family and I have stayed here multiple times and have always enjoyed it. Camp hosts and rangers are always nice and helpful. Tent sites don’t have electric or water but water spickets are located around the park if needed. Clean and decent sized sites.
