Overview

Yellowbottom will be closed to all access for the foreseeable future. As BLM recreation staff has inspected the campground ahead of its spring opening, they have found several potential safety hazards. BLM regrets to have to cancel all reservations for 2023, but the safety of our visitors is a top priority for us. While this is the only reservable BLM campground, Old Miner's Meadow (group campsite) may have sporadic availability and there are a few campgrounds located on the Willamette National Forest and Linn County in the vicinity. The BLM is unaware of the actual availability of sites at these campgrounds. Reserve a site at Yellowbottom on recreation.gov or pay when you arrive for non-reserved campsites using the Recreation.gov Mobile App . You must download before you reach the site since there is no cell reception in the drainage.__ Spend a relaxing night of camping among some of the largest trees in Oregon at the BLM's Yellowbottom Recreation Site.

NO water on-site, LOUD, OBNOXIOUS campers

Would have been a beautiful experience had we known there was no water available at the campground and there had been considerate camping parties next to us. Website states there is water, camp host said it has been broken for 3 years. 45 minute drive to Sweet Home to get water and earplugs to drown out the boom-cha boom-cha dance music from 2 neighboring campsites that went until the early morning hours. LOUD, OBNOXIOUS campers constantly cussing and yelling at their screeching children all day long, then partying all night. Mind you, this was a Wednesday and Thursday night. We were lucky to get an hour or two in the afternoon of quiet when it seemed everyone was busy at the watering hole. It was HOT, 90-95 F during the day, but when we decided to venture to the watering hole, it was overrun by the loud party and their children. Had to leave after witnessing racist comments from this large group directed at an Asian gal playing with their kids. Campsites were nice otherwise, 22 spots, all first come, first serve, $12 per night. Camp wood $10 for a "cart" that lasted us both nights and fires in the morning to cook over. BYO water!

Great little spot off of the beaten path

This is a great campground that is very well maintained and has several spots mostly for small campers, trailers and tents. Very well designed and each spot has a great space. Late summer swimming hole across the road at the park pull off and some fishing. quiet and peaceful.
