Port of Cascade Locks Campground

Currently (12/26/25) sites 3&4 have water and power, others power only. Dump station, bathrooms, showers closed for winter. You can pay $50 cash (no checks) at the kiosk, or scan QR code at kiosk to pay online. There is a list of available sites that you mark yourself, pretty straight forward. Very windy. The camp hosts Christmas lights strobed all night into our camper so that wasn’t too relaxing.. very tight quarters too, more like a small park than a campground.

Nice camperground, reasonable prices for electrical hookups per night ($26). Nice views, sadly the weather didn’t play ball for us!

12ft entrance may put off some rvs. Very nice staff member who helped us out.

I've passed this site a few times and have used the day use area. Finally decided to camp and so glad I did. Yes, there are trains running through, but they did not bother me. Adjacent to the RV park is a tent site for hikers on the PCT. I loved seeing and chatting with the hikers.  

There is no privacy between sites, but the scenery is gorgeous. Right on the Columbia River. The sites are level with water and electric and a dump station. A nice Island to walk around on. There was even wifi that worked! I think the first time I've ever been able to utilize Wifi at a campground. I loved this place. Paid $41 for one night.

A very small campground with water and electric only. Level sites with bathrooms and showers close. There is a dump station on site. A beautiful setting along the Columbia River. Sites back up to parking lot below for Thunder Island and native american fishing platforms. The Columbia paddle wheeler is walking distance nearby for a dinner or sightseeing cruise. Thunder Island Brewing is a couple of blocks away. I think there are only ten camp sites and a camp host that we never met. This is a hidden treasure for smaller campers and travel trailers.

A great spot (probably better in summer) but totally beautiful. They have a rail museum and access to a well manicured island. Close to town and the Bridge of the Gods, and a great restaurant with a nice view of the gorge. Be aware of the train it is right next to the campsites, and busy.

Smallish campground (15 or so spots) on a small "cliff" overlooking Cascade Locks. Spots are close together, surrounded by grass, with a small bathroom in the center of the lot. Tents are $25 per night, with several sites also available for a bit more for RVs with power and water. Reservations ($10 fee) are only accepted during the summer.

There's not much to do at all in the small campground, but there's a decent amount of places to explore right in the same area. Across a small street there's a playground, the Locks themselves, views of the Columbia River and even a museum.

Nice enough campground if you want to stay in the area for other activities, though no privacy at all between sites.

Great hookups, clean, pretty views. Kind camp host. Trains are only 20 yds away though and go by all through the night. If you’re a light sleeper I do not recommend this campground.

Amenities are awesome - excellent fishing, river views, play place, Pacific Crest Trail within a mile, Stern-wheeler cruises, right in the cool town of Cascade Locks. As such it should feel touristy but doesn’t. It’s not a nature lovers paradise, but open and fun overall. On the downside were a cranky, all business camp host - this is an important place, so decide NOW - and small campsites on lawns.

This is a great little campground accessible by public transit or car. It's best for car camping or RVs, but there are plenty of tent campers too. No trees for hammock campers.

The river views make up for this not being a very woodsy campground. So does the adjacent park with a playground and plenty of room for kids to run loose.

For the adults, Thunder Island Brewing is right there with delicious brews and sandwiches.

Just up above the campground is the main road through Cascade Locks. That means you are within walking distance of Bridge of the Gods (and this the PCT) as well as an ice cream shop, the Gorge Express stop if you want to pop down to Multnomah Falls or up to Hood River.
