Road NF-3511 cuts through Mt. Hood National Forest above Government Camp, offering free dispersed camping in a mix of forested and open terrain. The site itself does not have views of Mt. Hood, though sightlines to the mountain open up along the road on the way in and out. No facilities here. Campfires are permitted, and the area sees light traffic, with one camper reporting no vehicles passing through during an overnight stay. Polallie Campground sits a few miles east for those wanting a more developed alternative, and dispersed camping near Mt. Hood National Forest covers additional free options across the broader forest.
