An easy, self-guided interpretive walking trail provides a relaxing 1.25 mile stroll along the river's edge and it intersects with the Rogue River Greenway Trail which is 4 miles long throughout the park.
Camp and play along the river made famous by novelist and avid fisherman Zane Grey. The campground is also a great place to stay while taking in the local culture, history, and recreation opportunities in the area. No water access for any of these activities: Filling water jugs (Not Allowed) Filling RV’s (Never Allowed) Drinking water (Not Allowed) There is zero access to water at this location, this includes no water for hand washing or washing dishes.

People interested in camping in this area should look into staying at nearby campgrounds, such as Union Creek or Farewell Bend. The RRSNF thanks you for your patience and understanding this fire season! Abbott Creek Campground is a remote and picturesque campground in the midst of old-growth forest and along Abbott Creek, but is within walking distance to many other creeks and rivers, including Woodruff Creek and the beautiful Rogue River. With quiet and secluded campsites, there are many group sites for family and friends. This campground is complete with amazing fishing locations and numerous hiking trails that are easily accessible! While here, don't miss seeing the Rogue Gorge and Natural Bridge! For those who enjoy motorized recreation, there is easy access to an extensive OHV trail system nearby, at Woodruff OHV Play Area. The Upper Rogue River Trail may be accessed nearby at the Upper Rogue River-Woodruff Bridge Trailhead.
