Dense forest surrounds this US Forest Service campground along Highway 126 in the McKenzie River corridor. The facility sits within Willamette National Forest, where Douglas fir and cedar create overhead canopy above both forested and open camping areas. Access roads show rough conditions that may challenge low-clearance vehicles.
The McKenzie River flows nearby, providing water access for campers who bring their own gear for river activities. Lake access also lies within reach of the campground's location. Campers exploring the broader region can find campgrounds around Mckenzie Bridge for additional forest-based options. Plan for primitive conditions and pack supplies from town before arrival.
