It is a decent place for an overnight stop. Pricing is low. Full hookup, pull through spots. A lot of train traffic. Not bad, though, if you're used to train or city sounds.
Nice place, but poor WiFi. Add said good WiFi.
Nice campground. Level sites, water available, and restrooms. Sites are separated but you will hear generators from nearby neighbors.
I only stayed one night but I would recommend the campground.
It was easy to find, the pond is a one minute walk away and very pretty. I was the only one here and it was nice and peaceful. It was very chilly at night, but that is to be expected in November. I don’t have a heater, so I had to bundle up. I had excellent cell service (Verizon)
All the sites are pull through everything worked sewer water electric $20 a night for 30 amp. Owner was very friendly when I was here the Highway 54 was torn up completely so it would be best to call and come in the back way if you look at your Mac, you can take a left on 12th St. by the Valero and go down and wind your way through.
Very tidy and quiet spot. We were the only ones there. Good spot for birding. Paid $10 for tent. Very friendly manager.
Not a railroad to be found! The road is quiet at night Big rig friendly
Great place for peaceful camping. Has big playground for kids and miles of hiking trails, even lakes to fish. Staff very friendly and helpful for anything you need.
Great small campground! Not busy, sites are well maintained, there is water, trash bins, and pit toilets as clean as they come. Verizon has good coverage out here. This is definitely one of my favorite campgrounds so far in the Plains states. Looks like they’ve made some recent updates to be more accessible.
Easy access, plenty of space
Nice clean bathrooms and grounds. Quiet. Nancy was very helpful. We will stop here again.
This place is really hard to find it’s actually west of where it shows you on the map is west of the corral RV Park Dr., West you’ll see there’s some trailers parked up on the hill that’s not it keep going and you’ll actually see a sign that says south when RV Park office is the last house on the west nearest the road there’s no big sign that says officers office that with phone numbers but you have to knock on the door have to knock on the door
Another great overnight spot when traveling. Host was warm and friendly and the trains overnight brought back many memories.
After a scary, mushy slip slide drive through deep soft red dirt, we arrived to the bottom of the Cimarron River valley for an overnight stay. 50 amps and water on a concrete pad, plus a shade cover over a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Our 34 ft motorhome made it, and we prayed it wouldn't rain before time to leave. Nice campground with trails, a playground, and 3 well placed underground tornado shelters. Great staff (camp hosts) and a well run park.
Very chill park, friendly host and all hookups functioned great. Filled up fairly quickly by 6pm but still plenty of room for more. Didn’t use any of the facilities so have no comment on them. Host appears to not be there during the day time as much. Just read the notes on the Office front door to guide you in the process if the Office is closed.
Luckily they had walk in room. It was kind of hard to navigate, numbers weren't easy to find right away. Decent size lots, fair price for available commodities offered. Showers were clean and large. They have a kids park in front of the old drive in. Good food in town!
All gravel and rock park surrounded by grass. Long, wide pull through sites plus a row of back ins. No permanent residents, beautiful showers, laundry, clubhouse and office, friendly staff, horse corrals, sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous.
Full hook ups, level sites. Pay on the honor system. No amenities but towns nearby are cute. Great stop if you are passing through.
Pulled in late, and the guy answered! The park has a lot of thought out into it and very easy to navigate. Everything was clean and well maintained
Quiet, grass for dogs and really nice bathrooms and showers. Spots are level and well maintained.
We were driving through and needed a place to stay. We called and the phone was answered immediately. There is Dropbox where you pay. They text me the WiFi password.
The pull through spots where we stayed were nice, pretty level and clean. The main area, my husband said was nice, clean, cute and manicured. We will be traveling this was again and will stay here again.
This is a great campground for camping with horses. Pulled in in the evening took my horses out to put in a corral and gave them some water. Had a nice restful night sleep and was off in the morning. Great place and will definitely visit again.
Welcoming staff, grassy area for pet walk, full hookups, shower, bathroom, rec area and laundry. Free wifi.
I had a reservation at this park, but when We arrived and got a look at the park we quickly left. Mostly perm sites with old, run down campers. The park was dirty and seemed very sketchy. Would not stay here.
Lovely camping in the National Cimarron Grasslands. Peaceful beauty all around. Only one other camper. Highly recommend if you are looking for off the beaten path. Vault toilets and water.
We are traveling with a travel trailer and three generations of family (five of us ages 4-64). We LOVED this campground! Well maintained playground for the kids. Very clean bathrooms with free hot showers. Big shade trees. Full hookups. Kind host. We wished that we could’ve stayed longer. A few sweet cows behind us and a thunderstorm in front of us and hundreds of happy birds singing. Highly recommend.
Well kept city owned RV park. Level concrete pads and covered picnic table. The RR trestle you see is the Samson of the Cimarron!
