Whispering Hills Campground Recreation

Chip-sealed roads wind through this established campground in Big Prairie, where RVs up to 65 feet can access full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The facility operates seasonally from mid-April through October, accommodating both drive-in and boat-in access depending on campers' preferred arrival method.

Multiple site types spread across the property, from full hookup locations near the pool area to electric-only back-in sites that some returning visitors prefer for their layout. Kendra notes the campground maintains "very clean and well maintained sites and bathhouses," with laundry facilities available on-site. More secluded electric sites occupy the property's opposite side, away from the main activity areas.

The campground centers around a lake that draws anglers, while a creek provides additional water access for exploration and play. Activities include jump pads, mini golf, basketball courts, hiking trails, and an outdoor theater. A structured children's activity schedule runs throughout much of the day during peak season. Holiday weekends feature fireworks displays that draw crowds from the surrounding area.
