Campground Closed for Renovation: The campground on Leslie Road will be completely unavailable during renovations beginning October 20, 2019. NOTE: A one-lane bridge on Echo Dell Road CANNOT accommodate vehicles with trailers or RVs. You must approach the Park Office, Wildlife Education Center, Gaston's Mill, and Pioneer Village from the south if you are traveling in a large vehicle.

First time at this park I can see why it's always booked up. It seems like the sites are good sized but some are on slopes even the pads so make sure to bring stuff to level. Bathrooms were clean separate showers verizon works well here.

We came here during the 2024 River of Fire Event. The campground was packed but you couldn’t tell because the sites were all so spacious! Half the sites are right on the river which gives a good view and great place to fish and kayak(too cold on this trip). The event was very well organized and very fun to participate in. Staff was all very friendly and helpful! After the event many campers cleared out(end of season and kids in school) so my husband and I basically had the whole campground to ourselves for 2 of the days. It was extremely peaceful there and we look forward to returning.

When you pull into Beaver Creek Family Campground you pretty much have two choices: either you go left into multiple Pine tree sites or right into two cabins and more RV friendly open sites. A few of the RV sites have electric, but no water for their tanks. I suggest the pine sites for any tent or hammock campers. I stayed in one of the first set of 3 pine sites numbered 43, 44, and 45. There is some brush and cover between these sites, but each has a pull in parking pad. If 45 was occupied with a RV, 44 would not be as nice as it was. Backing into 44 and 45 would be tricky as well. To be fair any larger RV that came in better know how to get through tight quarters.
The back area of each of those 3 sites looked best to get even ground for a tent. My buddy hung his hammock between the tree to the left of the picnic bench and to a tree back and left in the picture of site 44. Site was fairly clean, but be sure to move the pine tree duff away from the fire pits to be safe.
Probably the nicest pit toilets I have experienced and while we didn't use, it the sun shower building would give anyone privacy if they had packed a portable shower. Lots of trails to choose from and the pioneer village in the state park gives you many options to spend the day. Had some luck fishing at the Canoe/Kayak area in the South East area of the park close to the Group Camp Sites.

I didn’t see much of this park because I only stayed overnight, but I got a good nights rest and felt safe. A few of the spots are not level and it appeared that not all of them had tables or fire pits. It didn’t appear that anyone did drive throughs to monitor noise or who was there, but I didn’t mind. There were quite a bit of teens camping out and while they were pretty loud late into the night, it made me happy to see them camping and floating the river. The pit toilet shelters were large and clean too.
GuideOlder state park, but very well maintained. Restrooms and showers clean and sanitary. Pool was not open yet when we were there. Close to hiking, MTB trails, canoeing. Sites are generally level with ample spacing. Park staff were friendly and helpful. We camped at Mohican State Park in a Motorhome on a site along the river.

Perfect for our little Scamp trailer. Only 5 big electric sites, no showers or potable water. As a result it was so peaceful! We loved our rainy stay. There are some lovely hiking trails around the lake and spillway. But lately there has been no swimming because of blue green algae.

GuideWe tent camped at one of the primitive riverfront sites. Site 810 in the Narrows. Our site was a little muddy and a little smaller than other sites but overall we were very happy with the campground and would camp there again!
GuideWe had a great three nights stay here in June, weather was lovely. Dale, one of the volunteer hosts, even helped me with a problem I had in my hot water heater while I was there. Great access to trails and tubing along the river, and a friendly group of campers. Shower houses were meticulously maintained and grounds are nice and clean. Wi-Fi was kind of sketchy for video calling at least at my site number 44.

LegendWe stayed on a full hook up site (turned off for the season) that had a nice concrete level pad. There was also a nice side pad that kept our chairs clean. A little further back in the campground to be close to the shower house that was open. Then found out that comfort station next to us was open - nice! Also close the water which was full and rushing all weekend.
The camp store was open on the weekend and the staff was nice to chat with. They had wood, but it was slab cut which doesn’t burn very well. We decided against it. Lots of snacks and other items still available.
Some sites were really close to the water, almost too close as the water flooded a few spots. The campground is nice to walk if you like to get in a little workout. They also have small camper cabins and them much bigger cabins which a few are pet friendly.
We went on a hike by the covered bridge to one of the waterfalls. Lots of trials to choose from.

Campground - it’s a big campground but only part of it is open in the winter. The drive in was plowed and they continue to get plow it through the weekend. Unfortunately there was more ice than snow in the road. The creek was flowing pretty good and was really pretty to watch and we saw a bald eagle flying back and forth.
Campsite-the pad was covered with snow and ice so we had to level a little more as the elements were a little tough to work with. The fire ring was up on a small hill which was a struggle to get up and down due to the ice but would be nice in the summer. You’d be able to see around and across the street to see the creek. Campsites are a little close together but some along the creek look a little more comfortable.
Camp store-big and a ton of items to choose from. They had fresh eggs, local meat, ice cream and more. The staff was friendly and helpful too!
Shower house-only one shower house was open and it was down by the maintenance building. Thankfully the camp store had a small bathroom available and was much closer. The shower house itself was clean, warm and had lots of room for multiple campers.
Really pretty with the snow and would like to go back when it’s warmer.

Our campsite had a flat area for the tent however it was set below parking level. While nice for privacy, the rain on our last day quickly ran down the slope and saturated our area. Site #197
ScoutThe sites that were around us had a perfect view of the Beaver Creek Valley. Our site was more in the corner with trees and brush blocking the view but we still enjoyed our site. Check in was easy since you can go right to your site and they have your trip details already pin to you campsite post. We stayed during the week so we didn’t share the campground with that many people. The campground was mixture of large sites and some small sites. The smaller sites were near the playground. We were thoroughly impressed by this campground, even if it was a smaller state park. We only stayed a night but we had a really nice and relaxing time at the state park. We were able to check out two of there trails but they have a quite a few trails. They had the pioneer village which was cute and interesting to walk through. Overall, a perfect low stress one night trip.
RangerThe cabins at Mohican State Park are highly sought after for a reason--beautiful interiors, comfortable beds, and riverfront location. When there's been enough rain, then tubing down the river is excellent. The campground pool is unheated, but it does have a lifeguard on duty. Good campstore and a clean, well-maintained campground. The newer playground (complete with zipline) is very popular with the kids. Go hiking in the nearby Mohican-Memorial State Forest; visit the fire tower and the dam while you're there. if you go into Loudonville, then stop by Stela's for ice cream in a homemade, chocolate dipped waffle cone and visit the eclectic Cleo Redd Fisher Museum.
RangerMany lakefront sites. Quiet, woodsy and very well-maintained state park campground. Great showerhouses and very nice playground. We love the small campers beach near site 160. Not much hiking at West Branch, but both Cuyahoga Valley NP and Summit Metroparks are a short drive. Treat yourself to a meal at the A&W Root Beer Stand in nearby Ravenna. Minor league Rubberducks play at Canal Park in Akron (approx 30 min. drive). There are also many free or low-cost concerts at Akron's Lock 3.

RangerIf you like peace and quiet this is not the place. No privacy. Dogs barking constantly, cars driving up and down the road constantly...kids screaming and running up and down the road especially young ones that definitely need adult supervision. Most of the sites are small and too close together. Not much room to maneuver a trailer into the narrow uneven pads. The rest of the site was full of rocks, cigarette butts and bottle caps. Came for a relaxing weekend and so far just been annoyed by rude people. Drinking water available but rvs are not allowed to fill tanks. Vault toilets. Full at&t reception. Quiet time 10pm-7am
ScoutThis campground is by far my favorite new place this year. Tons of activities to do, especially my toddler! The playground is extremely age friendly for every kid there. The beach is a well taken care of place for anyone to have access to cool down on the hot days!
