North Landing Beach Campground

Accessible by road to Knotts Island, North Landing Beach Campground provides full hookup RV sites with electric, water, and sewer connections alongside tent camping options. The municipally-managed facility charges $50-90 per night and accepts reservations year-round. Campers can access the property by driving, walking, or arriving by boat.

The campground maintains clean facilities with showers, restrooms, and a dump station. WiFi extends throughout the property. Reviews highlight the well-maintained grounds and responsive staff who organize seasonal activities including mini golf, pickle ball, and bocce ball courts on-site. October visitors can participate in haunted house events with hayrides. The facility welcomes pets and offers military discounts for qualifying guests.

Beach access provides water activities, with some campers swimming even in October when temperatures remain warm. Our Greight Escape notes the "-Beach access with wonderful views." The Currituck Ferry terminal sits 10 miles away, connecting to the Outer Banks after a 45-minute crossing. Virginia Beach lies 30 minutes north by road.

Road conditions require attention when traveling to the campground. Several routes leading to Knotts Island feature rough pavement that can potentially damage RVs if driven too quickly. The location works well for families with children and RV campers seeking full hookups with organized activities.

Relaxing time with friends

We stayed in RV close to friends, both in RV sites and in cabin. Park is well maintained and friendly staff. Lots of included activities, my family played pickle ball, mini golf, and bocce ball. We were there in October and the park had a haunted house with included hay ride. My teenage sons had a great time. They even got into the water both days we were there because weather was still warm.

B-E-A-UTIFUL!!

This is by far the best campground I have stayed at. Lots to do, right here at your home away from home. The campground hosts several activities. Currituck Ferry is 10 miles away. After a 45 minute ferry ride, you are only a few miles from Kitty Hawk. Va Beach is 30 minutes up the road. The military aviation museum is 10 minutes away. A word of caution though. If you are coming from I-64, go to exit 286-B which will put you on Indian River Rd. Follow this til you turn right in Princess Anne Rd, then follow til you get here. Take your time driving. The vast majority of the roads leading here are very rough, and you can damage your rig like I did. This trip was well worth it. My wife and I have had the vacation of our lives. We are already making plans to come back.

Great campground!

We always ensure we have a couple trips here each season. Quite enough for parents to enjoy and yet they have tons to do for kids. Beach is perfect for little kids as well.
