Open YEAR ROUND Just a little history - - - The owner, Tommy Bradsher and some friends were on a fishing vacation in the Florida Keys and stayed at a campground. There he met a fellow Mason and Shriner who owned the campground. They had several conversations about how enjoyable it was to run a campground as well as the work involved. As a business owner and native of Brunswick County, he did research to see if it would be an advantage to invest in creating a new campground to attract more campers to the area. In 2003 based on his research, he and wife, Wanda, forged ahead with the idea of creating a family camping atmosphere. So welcome to the South Brunswick islands, your home away from home. Leave all your worries behind from the moment you enter this campground. Located well off the main road, relaxation is the theme of your vacation. Being a family owned business; we have family in mind. Visitors to the park can be found relaxing by the pool, fishing in the pond, or playing a family game of horseshoes, volleyball, or basketball. For those who do choose to venture out you won't need to travel far to reach one of 3 family beaches where you can build a sand castle, play in the gentle surf, or fish from one of the piers. The sport enthusiasts can spend their days on the Atlantic Ocean catching their spill of fish, or teeing off at one of 35 championship golf courses. At the end of the day treat yourself to fresh, local seafood at Calabash, the Seafood Capital of the World, or simply grill directly at your site. Located half-way between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC gives you the advantage of a wide variety of activities. You can choose from live shows, outlet shopping, restaurants then come back to the campground to wind down and relax. Give us a try and you just may find your forever home away from home.

Singletary Lake State Park offers group camps available to nonprofit organizations. The camps provide a unique camping experience, creating the perfect setting in which to interpret natural surroundings and to unite in work and play. At least 20 people must be in the group, and the group must also be a part of a verifiable organization.

Camp Ipecac can accommodate up to 84 people. It is open from April 1 through October 31.

The camp includes 10 standard cabins (twin bunk beds for 8 people per cabin), and one cabin that is accessible to people with limited mobility or disabilities (twin bunk beds for 4 people total). It also includes an accessible mess hall and an accessible bathhouse with restrooms.

All amenities are provided for campers, except for food, cleaning supplies, and bed linens.

A basketball goal, a volleyball net, a horseshoe pit, a group-sized charcoal grill, and picnic tables are located near the cabins. A campfire circle in each camp offers the perfect setting for an evening of fellowship and marshmallow roasting.

The facilities were built by the Resettlement Administration. The camp was named for Carolina Ipecac, Euphorbia ipecacuanhae, a herb common in the region's sandy soil. Extract taken from the herb's dried roots is used for medicinal purposes.

    Disappointing and dirty

It is insanely packed so in a tent, you have no privacy at all. It’s also very loud and bright during the night cause of all the lights for example at the restaurant. The showers were a disgrace and need to be renovated and they booked my tent at a RV side so I paid over 70$ for one night. You don’t feel like you are at a campground but in the middle of a city.

    Clean, fam-friendly, resort camping

Barefoot RV Resort was so CLEAN! Like I mean immaculate. Has 2 pools (one for kids with a slide & lazy river and one more for adults/quieter activities). The pools are in opposite corners of the resort. Bathhouses were new and very clean- water pressure great. Our site was very well kept, easy to use with a grass patch, cement pad & paver fire pit. You are quite close to all your neighbors here, but that's to be expected in Myrtle Beach. Rent a golf cart from Salty's- they deliver it right to your campsite. This was a must have as we used it to get to the beach, shopping/bars in Barefoot Landing, food store and more. Staff were welcoming, informative, accessible & friendly. We would absolutely come back!

    Nice little park

We really enjoy this little state park. It’s small, quiet, and clean. We use it all the time to “test” new camping gear and setups before we travel further from home on longer trips.

    Very Nice!

I’ll definitely be staying here again! Beautiful and very well maintained landscaping, clean facilities, very helpful and friendly staff. Really close to the beach, a good selection of restaurants as well as other points of interest. My only regret is that I didn’t have time to stay longer. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!

Ideal shaded sites, close to beaches, fishing, and good food.

This is a relaxing, natural campground. Many bird songs at sunrise and Whip poor will calls at sunset every night. We have dogs and there are nice places to walk along the pond, and grass areas all around the campground. The dog park is nice for some off leash time. The facilities are great with a store, laundry, and clean restrooms and showers. A very nice pool is available, but with Sunset beach, and Ocean Isle beach just minutes away we have gone there daily. I am fascinated by Bird Island that is a nature preserve and reachable from Sunset beach, this is a day trip we are looking forward to taking the dogs on. Calabash is another town we have visited and it is a gem. We didn’t expect to want anything but seafood but the Peruvian restaurants’ line out the door was intriguing and we ended up there for a late lunch and loved it. My partner is an avid fisherman and had a great day fishing on a Hurricane charter out of Calabash.

Camp Ipecac Group Camp — Singletary Lake State Park

    Nice spot for family/friends gathering

This is a spacious group camping area; You can rent some cabins and/or rent RV spots so if you have a mixed camping family, so came come in their rvs/trailers and others can rent a cabin and y'all will still be next to each other.  The park is on the smaller size but has a few hiking trails that are very nice.  It also has a trail that goes around Singletary lake!  The lake is awesome, great kayaking and fishing!  The area is just away from White lake and Elizabethtown to be secluded and private but close enough to get what you need from the Walmart or Food Lion in town!  There are also a decent number of "hometown" restaurants in town if you want to go out to eat!  Georgio's is awesome!

    Great for traveling

Great for a pull through spot right off I-95 while traveling! Campground is beautiful and clean, with a pond, park, large laundry room, and easy access dump station. Staff was very friendly and got me a spot right away for a good price. There are spots for every size camper. Only downside is it gets a bit messy/ muddy if it’s raining.

    Halloween Weekend Oct 26-29, 2023

Absolutely 100% recommend this place. Store: It is one of my top three stores. Offer plenty of games, grocery, apparel, parts, and other stuff. Spaces: Have plenty of space between you and your neighbors. Roughly 2-3 trailer widths between on both sides. Every spot is concrete, pull through, fire pit, and picnic table. Environment: Very friendly!! The lake fun was closed but the puppy beach was not. But there was a hot tub, pool, and kiddie pool. Halloween Celebration: They had an arts a crafts event we did not attend because the kids wanted to swim. But trick or treating was awesome for the kids, adults, and puppies. We briefly went to the Halloween bash but hurried over to go on the haunted hay right through the forest. It was really well done! Bathhouse: There is one but I did not utilize it because I use my trailer. Reservations: Super easy! Military get 15% discount. You can reserve up to 400 days out. Half of it is due at time of reservation and the rest at arrival.

    Terrible rv park

To start off the lady at the front desk is very rude. I travel full time and haven’t been to a park this bad yet. It’s all pretty run down and had dirty drinking water which is a big problem. The park is also way over priced for what you get. Would highly recommend any other park in the area.

Fantastic location for a great price

We stayed at briarcliffe for a few nights at the end of June. Our site was concrete but in no way level, we had to use our leveling blocks to keep our auto leveling system from lifting wheels on our class c. The sites were a little cramped but the park itself was very well maintained. We felt very safe there with a toddler as it is gated access. What we really loved was the location which is within walking distance of barefoot landing. So nice to have dining and shopping right next to your RV park. This park has a ton of rules with fines to go along with them, but don’t be alarmed they are all completely reasonable and are there to maintain the look and feel of the campground. Would absolutely stay again!

    Memories for a Lifetime

I’ve been camping here since I was born in 30 now that means 30 total stays. We stay for one week over July 4th and it’s been the best time every time. This campground is part of our family and provides one of the best experiences I’ve had at a campground. There is something for everyone and they continue to better the experience. I now have a child and a camper of my own and we are continuing the tradition of visiting this campground. I love this place and can’t wait to return.

    New Years Eve Weekend

We stayed here over New Years Weekend, dates were December 30th, 2022 to January 2nd, 2023. We had such a great time!

Amenities that were closed were the Big Pool and Waterpark.

But the following were still still open: Lazy River (Heated), 2 outdoor and 1 indoor pools (heated), 1 outdoor and 1 indoor jacuzzi, mini golf, basketball courts, gaga ball, Tennis Courts, and in the outdoor court yard many small activities. Indoor activities that were open were the indoor arcade, mini bowling alley, and Fitness Center.

For food they had a little cafe that offered good food and drinks. They do have a happy hour.

They offered a general store with a good array of items not limited but to include RV Parts (Surge protectors, sewage parts/ Treatment, Propane Hoses, Coax Cable, etc), condiments, basic groceries, alcohol, souvenirs, and outdoor games.

The only not positive thing was that we made reservations for a New Years Eve Buffet. For 3 adults and 2 kids it was $225.00 dollars. The food was good but I don’t think it was worth that.

Golf cart rentals for a 4 seater were $75.00 a day. We did it for one day.

Rangers and hosts are wonderful at this SC State Park. Serene setting on a lake, nice sized campsites. I stayed in campsite 11 which I was somewhat difficult to get get into so definitely only for smaller rigs, the other thing is you might now want to take campsite # 12 if they offer, the water, electric and sewer hookups for 11 are basically in campsite 12 front yard. Head and Shoulders Above the Rest

From the moment you arrive, it is fantastic. Someone takes you to your site. The sites are all level and very clean. No garbage, including leftover s'mores sticks in the campfire pit.

Our daughter rode off on her bike to fast from a family trip to the pool and got lost. We were in a panic searching for her and a ranger spotted her. Knew immediately that she was lost and we found her within 15 minutes! This place is head and shoulder's above the rest.

While we prefer state parks, we were pleasantly surprised by Carolina Pines and will definitely return in 2023. Can't recommend it enough.
