Pretty run down!

Not much of an RV Park as it it mostly monthly's and storage spots. If you can boondock, stay at the Walmart just up the road. If want to stay longer, try Storrie Lake State Park about a mile north. Better place and cheaper.

Overnight parking spot.

This is a funky, no frills place to park and spend the night, or a few. We stayed there 3 days. There is no pool, no tennis courts, no clubhouse, no playground. It is simply a parking area with hookups. There are also showers and a laundry. The sites are close together, and little separation between sites, so no privacy. There are a few people living there full time. Most of the sites are storage. The residents were all friendly, and quiet. Very friendly and helpful owner. Fenced in and safe. Not a bad stop for a night or two in the desert. Stores and business nearby.

Small and Tight RV Park

This is an RV park that has Overnight ($35), Weekly ($125), and Monthly ($400). They have water, sewer, electricity hookups included with the prices. Also included is cable. Showers are near the entrance and also trash cans. All spots are closed to each other so no privacy. Most of the RV’s where fifth wheels and Buses. Mostly older people. It’s just 1 min from Walmart and the dollar store.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best RV parks near Las Vegas, New Mexico for accessing local attractions?

Vegas RV and Storage provides basic accommodation for exploring the Las Vegas area, though it's primarily utilized for longer-term stays. For better access to natural attractions, consider Storrie Lake State Park, located just a mile north of town, which offers more scenic surroundings and recreational opportunities. The Vegas RV location provides adequate access to town services, but those seeking primarily an overnight stay with easy access to shopping might consider the Walmart parking area which permits overnight parking. Each option offers different advantages depending on your priorities for attraction access.

What amenities are available at RV parks in Las Vegas, New Mexico?

Vegas RV and Storage offers basic amenities that include water, sewer, and electrical hookups for all RV sites. Cable TV service is also included with your stay. The park provides communal shower facilities located near the entrance and convenient trash disposal areas. Laundry facilities are available on-site for guests staying multiple days. This is a no-frills park without luxury amenities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, or a clubhouse. The focus is on functional necessities rather than recreational facilities.

How much does it cost to stay at an RV park in Las Vegas, NM?

Vegas RV and Storage offers several rate options: $35 for overnight stays, $125 for weekly stays, and $400 for monthly stays. These rates include all hookups (water, sewer, electricity) and cable TV service. This pricing structure makes it economical for longer stays, with significant savings for weekly and monthly guests compared to the nightly rate. Other options in the area like Storrie Lake State Park typically offer more competitive rates for shorter stays.

Do I need to make reservations for RV parks in Las Vegas, NM during peak season?

While reservations aren't strictly required at Vegas RV and Storage, they're recommended during busy travel periods. The park caters primarily to long-term guests and has many monthly residents, which limits availability for overnight and short-term stays. Since the facility also functions partially as a storage area, available spots for travelers can be limited. If you're planning to visit during summer months or holiday weekends, contact the park in advance to secure a spot. For more flexibility without reservations, Storrie Lake State Park nearby might offer additional options.
