Haystack Mt OHV Area

Off-road vehicle enthusiasts find a straightforward base camp at this Bureau of Land Management site, where four concrete-pad sites accommodate large RVs on level ground. The gravel access road presents no grade challenges, and two sites offer pull-through convenience. Each site includes a picnic table, pavilion, fire ring, and grill, with vault toilets maintained across the camping area.

Located well off the main highway, the campground sits adjacent to multiple cell towers, providing strong T-Mobile coverage according to recent visitors. Walking trails and off-road vehicle routes extend from the camping area, though winter months typically see reduced OHV activity. The two farthest sites face outward toward open country views. For those seeking different accommodations, Alamo Road Camp provides an alternative about 20 miles away.
