Best Cabin Camping near Mimbres, NM

What a great find. This RV Park is still taking reservations during the coronavirus pandemic. We called and got a site for three nights. Sites are long and spacious, level, gravel, wide with shrubbery and some fencing between, adding lots of privacy. Both easy back in and pull through sites. Several large clean showers/bathrooms, laundry and library but no amenities like a pool or hot tub. Did i mention the Excellent cell, and even better fast WiFi, which was very good with multiple access points to connect to through out the park. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great prices ($34) and we used AARP to get additional discount($16), they also accept Good Sam. Cabins available. We were very happy and recommend it.

We stayed on the C/O side of the park. It was pretty nice though if you wanted to walk around or go to the c/o hot tub, you had to get dressed. The staff was helpful, the neighbors nice and not a lot of gaskets. We stayed in our teardrop.

About 30-45 minutes out of las cruces nm,beautiful desert setting, rv sites, cabins, camp store, several hot springs, some are clothing optional, some family friendly, very remote no cell service but beautiful area, not far from city of rocks state park

I was worried that this place wasn’t open due to the fact there were only two reviews and it had been a while since a review. I can happily share that they are open and thriving. I was driving from Gila Cliff Dwellings towards White Sands NP and needed a place to camp. I passed some dispersed camping along the way, but most of the cultivated sites were closed, I’m guessing due to COVID as New Mexico has really cracked down on their camping and I ran into lots of sites that were either closed or only open to residents. Anyway, this place was a STEAL. For only $21 (the typical price of most regular vault toilet and picnic table camp sites), you get heaven on earth. You wouldn’t expect it driving in from either direction, but the sites themselves are extremely shaded and surrounded by trees and as private as possible given the close proximity to neighbors. I stayed at site #47 and even though I was right next to the pools and bathhouse, I couldn’t be seen at all from those places. There’s a potable water tap at EACH campsite, free showers, unlimited 24/7 access to hot springs (clothing required & clothing optional pools), a clubhouse to wash dishes or cook or simply hang out inside in a comfortable chair to read or play games at a table), several bathrooms, phone service (and I didn’t have any driving in or out), peacocks and other wildlife to admire, friendly staff, firewood for sale, labyrinth maze, short scenic trails to watch the sunset and rise, inside facilities, amazing cabins (cheapest one is only $60 and comes with an hour long soak in a private pool which is otherwise $28 for one hour), etc. I could go on and on about this place. The best $21 I have ever spent to spend the night anywhere in my entire life and I am always camping and traveling. A literal oasis. I soaked from 7pm-11pm and had the pools to myself several times on a Sunday evening. Everyone was respectful and there was no sense of party / loud groups as so common is seen at hot springs. Alcohol allowed.

Nice Park just outside/south of the Gila National forest. Perfect spot if one wants to park and then drive into the Kila forest or cliff dwellings. Has clean showers and laundry, and a nice couple that runs the place. Just a few miles north of silver city. Nice drive to get supplies in town

This was a great find! Perfect location to leave our trailer and go out exploring! Cliff Dwellings, hot springs, cat walk, farmers market, super cute old fashion bar and opera house Pinos Altos

Lots of pull throughs, clean showers, friendly host! Laundry great too! This is a gem, quiet and peaceful to boot!!

Very nice campground with full hookups and inexpensive prices. Quiet with many amenities like laundry and super nice room built to hang out with others

I was able to secure a reservation day of! The woman behind the counter was so accomodating and the spot we got for 2 nights was huge and very private. The showers were large and clean as well as the rest of the park. Far enough from the town for a great view of the stars but not too far to get something to eat or grab something from the store. Definitely will make another stop here soon

We liked Rose Valley Ranch and would stay again. We didn’t talk to a soul our entire 3 day stay. We kind of felt isolated which isn’t a bad thing necessarily if you’re not looking for that sort of thing. The sites are huge and feel very private, offering a little fenced in, personal yard at most sites. The bathrooms were very clean and also private feeling. There is only one dumpster and it was very far from our site. Walking around will also involve walking through dirt areas to reach your destination. All in all though it’s a nice, private, roomy park that puts you right near Silver City’s local shops!

We originally reserved one night and stayed 4. This modest little park (fairly priced) is next door to a market, 4 blocks from Silver City’s wonderful old town, and 7 blocks from a great dog park. They have a clean little laundromat, clean bathrooms, and friendly helpful staff. And a small coffee shop. We’ll be back.

Very small and tight park. It was basically cheap and cheerful. Used the laundry which wasn’t exciting but it did the job. You can walk to the old town from here. It was $40 for the night which we thought ok. Gravel lots but flat.

I stayed here for CDT Days. Great location walking distance to everything. There’s a grocery store around the corner. Super quiet. Woke up to the birds chirping away. Priced fairly and would stay here again.

I think the campground is very nice and convenient to downtown. Full hookups, clean bathrooms and for the summer, nice shade. A lot of local tenants but it was quiet and well cared for with just a few spots coming and foing.

Small but well run campground, perfect for resupply. You might want to go to a laundromat rather than use the onsite laundry. Nighttime was very quiet.

TERRIBLE GUEST SERVICES! Pools were great, a little dirty but the scenery was decent. On the other hand, management is less than accommodating and of no help at all!! Terribly rude as well. DO NOT EXPECT ANY FORM of great customer service in any way which so ever!! Not guest friendly whatsoever! We had a soak in the Blue Moon private pool and when it was time to leave we realized there was no door handle. We called the emergency phone number listed multiple times and no answer. We were stuck behind the gate with no door knob, and to top it off stuck in complete darkness. It was a rather terrible, little frightening experience to say the least. Not knowing what insects or creatures could bite us in the dark. After many attempts to were able to use our towel and a stick to get the lock button and cylinder open without a handle. The next morning we called to let them know what had happened and were told there was absolutely nothing to compensate for. I was not looking for a handout, but not even an apology was given for the trouble we went through that evening. Appalling customer service! Will not be going back and will not recommend Faywood to any others because of the terrible customer relations through management. Unfortunate, because Faywood is a nice, relaxing place. I cannot do business with anyone who does not care about the customers. No customers deserve this attitude and I personally cannot recommend this type of business to anyone else. Customers are the livelihood of thriving businesses. I wouldn’t want anyone else to get locked in after hours.

The staff are really helpful. The hot springs bathing areas are nice. They have clothes optional and required areas. The showers are clean. The bathrooms are clean. They have a good camp store. We spent 5 nights here and loved it.

Quiet ranch in the mountains of Gila National Forest. Must be prepared for a very steep grade drive with switchbacks. Beautiful scenery with sheep and horses.

Enjoyed relaxing in the hot springs which are very nice and easily accessible. Vault/compost toilet was clean but smelly as you’d expect while in it. Maneuvering our 24ft sprinter was doable on the property but larger vehicles not advised.
