Only five RV sites are available at Riverbend Hot Springs, and they book up fast. Reservations are competitive enough that repeat visitors often rely on cancellations to get in, so planning ahead is essential. Rates run $75 per night on weekdays and $95 on weekends, covering two adults and including access to the communal pools from check-in through checkout the following morning. The sites are gravel, full-hookup slots with electric, water, and sewer connections, plus cable and WiFi. No tent camping, vans, or car camping is permitted. RVs up to at least 55 feet combined length have been accommodated without issue.
The campground itself sits across the street from the hot springs property, a compact gravel lot divided by native shrubs and shade trees. Sites are close together, and privacy is limited. What draws campers here is the pool access. The springs property overlooks the Rio Grande, with the Chihuahuan Desert extending into the distance behind it. Multiple pools at varying temperatures are available, along with a sauna, outdoor showers, lounge chairs, hammocks, and macrame swings at one of the pools. Private soaking pools can also be reserved separately. Several reviewers note the experience at night, when the pools are less crowded and lit for evening use.
La Paloma Hot Springs and Spa and Hot Springs Glamp Camp are nearby alternatives for campers who want similar access to the area's geothermal resources. A convenience store is within walking distance, and the surrounding town of Truth or Consequences has restaurants, a Walmart, and gas stations close by. As HandL C. puts it: "you're not here for the rv park." This campground makes the most sense for RV travelers who prioritize hot spring access over spacious or private sites.
