GuideAs a military retiree, I sometimes forget about checking to see what bases have a FAMCAMP. I was lucky enough this time to find Kirtland AFB's. It wasn't anything glamorous, but there was plenty of room at the sites and had full hookups. It was close to the airport so that was a bonus, as we had to drop off our neice. The kids enjoyed the Bowling alley on base, and we were able to resupply at the commissary. The only thing to warn others about is that the balloon festival in early October fills up the campground fast. We spent our first night in overflow with no hookups, but we got a nice spot the 2nd night as it is first come first serve.
ScoutIt has your standard facilities. Though the dog parks have zero grass in it and the little grass that is at the campground are only for the upgraded sites. For 2 nights it was $240. A KOA would have been much better!! The pictures on their website make it look a lot nicer than it is. It would be worth $45 a night for full hookups. Definitely not what I paid.
