The use of off-highway motor vehicles (OHVs) is prohibited in New Mexico State Parks, as stipulated by the NM OHV Act and State Park Regulations (NMSA 66-3-1011, 16-2-33 19 NMAC Ch 5 Sec 2.16 A).
Grassy Point Campground at El Vado Lake State Park is located near a large reservoir surrounded by rolling hills and open spaces. Temperatures in the area can range from lows in the 20s Fahrenheit during winter to highs in the 80s during summer. Nearby attractions include El Vado Lake for fishing and boating, and the scenic Heron Lake State Park, offering additional outdoor activities.

FROM THE INTERSECTION OF US 64/84 AND STATE ROAD 112 TURN LEFT ON SR 112 AND GO 13 MILES UNTIL YOU REACH THE EL VADO STATE PARK ROAD AND TURN RIGHT AND TRAVEL 4 MILES TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE PARK.
