Reservable and full-hookup, New Frontier RV Park sits just off I-80 in Winnemucca, Nevada, with sites running up to 50 feet. Pull-through spots are paved and level; back-in sites are gravel or asphalt, and multiple reviewers note that rigs required little to no additional leveling. Rates have come in under $50 per night, with senior discounts bringing the cost down further. The office stays open until 9 PM, which takes pressure off late arrivals.
Road noise is less of a factor here than the interstate proximity might suggest. The park is well-organized with clear signage, and sites are spaced with enough room that crowding rarely comes up as a complaint. Trees are maturing across the property, and as Coddiwompling F. notes, they've "grown quite a bit and are really helping with some shade," though younger trees between some sites still offer limited privacy.
Facilities are a consistent strong point across reviews. Restrooms and showers are repeatedly described as clean and well-maintained. The laundry room draws particular attention, with one long-haul traveler calling it the best he'd encountered across more than 200 campgrounds. A dog park, minimart, and great room with tables and chairs round out the on-site amenities. WiFi reaches reliably to the clubhouse, though signal quality at individual sites varies and some campers have needed a repeater to connect. No fire rings are available.
Winnemucca itself is walkable from the park, with a restaurant and casino within easy reach, plus shopping and additional dining along the main corridor. For those passing through the region, places to camp near Winnemucca include Silver State RV Park and Winnemucca RV Park, both within a mile. One cancellation policy complaint from a same-day weather cancellation is worth noting for travelers in spring, when snow can move through the area quickly.
New Frontier works best as a reliable overnight or multi-night stop for RV travelers on I-80 who want full hookups, clean facilities, and a level site without much setup.
Description
WHERE THE FRONTIER IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP While New Frontier RV Park wasn’t around when Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid robbed the First National Bank of Winnemucca on September 19, 1900, we are sure they would have found a way to stay with us, enjoy the great outdoors and maybe they would have decided not to rob the bank on the way to becoming infamous outlaws. Make your reservations today and see if you can solve the controversy over whether or not it really was the “Wild Bunch.”
