Nevada State Parks manages this established campground within Spring Valley State Park, offering both RV hookups and tent sites with reservations available. The facility sits approximately 14 miles east of Pioche and provides access to Spring Valley Reservoir for fishing and water activities.
Each of the campsites includes a covered picnic table, fire ring, and grill grate. Most tent sites feature level tent pads, with community water spigots distributed throughout the campground. The restroom facilities include flush toilets and free showers, with daily cleaning service maintaining the buildings. RV sites concentrate near the front of the campground, while tent sites extend toward the back loop.
Spring Valley Reservoir sits within walking distance of all sites, typically a 4-minute walk depending on campsite location. "What's better than fishing and riding your kayaks?" asks Brittney C., reflecting the water-focused recreation here. The reservoir receives regular rainbow trout stocking, with early morning and evening fishing producing the most consistent results using worms or PowerBait. Campers also report regular wildlife sightings, including deer that graze in nearby fields during late afternoon hours.
Rangers patrol regularly and enforce the 10 PM quiet hours. The campground operates first-come, first-served, so arriving early increases site selection options, particularly during warmer months when temperatures can reach the mid-70s.
