Favorite Campground!

This little gem sits on the year round Cleve Creek. We camped here in October and the creek was still flowing strong. Small campground nestled among cottonwoods with 12 sites. Free BLM campground with a 14 day limit. We had it to ourselves for the most part. There is a large group suite with an elaborate grill and fireplace. Super cool spot!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cleve Creek Campground free or is there a fee?

Cleve Creek Campground is completely free to use. It's a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) campground with a 14-day stay limit. There are no entrance or camping fees required, making it an excellent option for budget-conscious campers looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area without spending money on accommodations. Be sure to practice Leave No Trace principles to help maintain this free resource for everyone.

How do I get to Cleve Creek Campground from Ely, Nevada?

To reach Cleve Creek Campground from Ely, Nevada, you'll need to travel on well-maintained roads that lead to this secluded BLM site. The campground is nestled among cottonwoods along the year-round Cleve Creek. While the exact driving directions aren't specified, you should plan your route using a reliable GPS or map, as the campground is somewhat remote. The journey is worthwhile for the peaceful setting and natural beauty awaiting at the destination.

What amenities are available at Cleve Creek Campground?

Cleve Creek Campground offers basic amenities in a natural setting. The campground features 12 individual sites and a large group site area. The year-round Cleve Creek flows through the property, providing a beautiful water feature and natural soundtrack. Tall cottonwood trees offer welcome shade and scenic beauty. While the amenities are rustic, the natural setting compensates with tranquility and outdoor recreation opportunities. For specific facility details like restrooms or fire rings, it's best to contact the BLM office that manages the site before your trip.

Can RVs stay at Cleve Creek Campground?

Yes, RVs can stay at Cleve Creek Campground, though it's better suited for smaller to medium-sized rigs. With 12 sites available, the campground can accommodate various camping setups. However, as a more rustic BLM campground, you should expect no hookups or dump stations. The campground's layout among cottonwood trees may limit maneuverability for larger RVs. Consider your rig's size and requirements before visiting, and arrive early to secure a suitable spot, especially if you need a more level or accessible site.
