Idyllic Spot amidst the cornfields

Just happened upon this small camping area off of Rte 14. So peaceful. Perfect for us as we needed sun for our solar panels but not much shade otherwise. Surrounded by cornfields. Pulled in on a Tuesday and only 3 other RV’s here. Such a lovely surprise. Tent camping available further down from the RV area.

SiteFirst RV pad as you pull in. We do not need electric.

nice, quiet campground near the highway

We stayed there in late August on a weeknight.  The sites look new, possibly recently refurbished.  There is a small lake near which is an easy walk.  Everything was clean and recently mowed grass.  In the middle of corn fields, but a nice quiet place to spend one night.

Easy access off I80

In the middle of vast Nebraska corn fields. This small campground was very clean and easily accessed camp site. The night sky is amazing. Trains travel in the distance and provide a soothing backdrop. A band of coyotes passed in the early morning and served as a morning wake up call.

Quiet, peaceful, easy

Just a few mins off the highway but nice and quiet. Rolled in late to see only a couple of other campers. Nice mowed short walk down to the lake, and great birding!

Secluded

Pioneer Trails Recreatin Area is a new campground so there is no shade available, but the sites have lots of room between them and have nice level, long concrete pads with a picnic table and fire ring. There are 10 Rv sites with electric only and a separate area with 8 tent sites. The tent sites are walk up sites. There is a nice lake for fishing or boating, and the area is well kept and will be beautiful once the trees come into full maturity.
