Old Yellowstone Trail North Dispersed — Montana State Trust Lands

A grassy riverside clearing tucked off Old Yellowstone Trail North in the upper Yellowstone River corridor of south-central Montana, screened from the road and set to the sound of moving water. The access spur is a washboard gravel road — slow going under any conditions and best avoided after heavy rain, when the low clearing near the creek can be at risk of flooding. The spot works well for a single night in a small rig or overland setup; the rough approach and tight clearing make it a poor fit for larger vehicles.
