Grear for a night while passing through

Fishing access site with several designated campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. I didn’t think the noise from the interstate or trains was too bad. Beautiful while passing through, but not “destination camping.” I had the place to myself on a weeknight.

I think you’re supposed to have a conservation license to stay here, I bought one online for $10 when I got here just in case. See my photo.

Lovely spot!

Had the whole place up ourselves. There is a toilet on site. No water or power. Great for the night. Could see ALL the stars at night! There is noise from the I90 and you can see straight to the highway but still nice nonetheless.

Camp beside the Yellowstone River for $18

This is a secret little site surrounded by Prairie. Grasslands and succulent deciduous trees. There's about six for mal sites with a level gravel spot. Each site can accommodate two vehicles above 33 ft long. It has a vaulted bathroom which is spotlessly clean. There is a picnic table and a fire ring with a gray at each site. The picnic tables are extended for easy wheelchair access. There are loads of birds. The best site is by the river that has the shade of a tree. The others don't have much shade. You do hear the highway and the trains going by. Cell service is about 1/3 bar. When we were camping in middle of June there was only one other caper and the best site next to the tree. There is also boat access here to the river. You can pay cash by filling out the envelope and dropping it in the Dropbox. Since we did not have a conservation fishing or hunting license, we paid $18. If you have a license it's significantly less to stay overnight. Maximum stay is 7 days in a 30-da period.
