Worth the challenging drive If you have AWD or 4WD

Pristine and usually unoccupied lake off the beaten path. 17 miles of dirt road from Highway to the lake and the last 7 are truly a challenge for anything other than a slightly lifted vehicle. Four camping areas near or with access to Lake with two of them having boat ramps. Skip the first turn off to the right as that is the very narrow part of the lake and rather ugly. The second turn off has two to four campsites with vault toilets and access to the lake through a boat ramp which allows camping and small trailer access lakeside. The churn out to the right is, Really rough and has very little camping or RV access. One of the pictures shows how rough the road is. I took the fourth turn off which is 747 and has one to two camping sites with a fire pit and good RV access along with a boat ramp. Note that fires are allowed in the fire pits because this is above 6, 000 feet but there is no water or trash. Pack it in, pack it out.

Part of Hipcamp but worth every penny

Beautifully maintained Meadow next to a running creek with dear families wandering around and their own personal deer, Herbie. No water or electrical or dump station but very clean porta potties and waste bins and lots of privacy. Super nice hosts and would definitely stay there again

Clatskanie Holistic Farm Hipcamp

Amazing! Outstanding! Beautiful Hillside former equestrian farm where you can buy organic cage-free eggs laid the day before along with milk taken straight from the cow that morning! If you enjoy watching sheep eat and playing with a goat and watching Ducks wander around and lots of stuff to look at and hiking and learning about farming and animal husbandry, this place is for you!

Dispersed camping Olympic Natl Forest F.R. 24

Difficult to find a spot that accommodates a 30-ft rig but I managed a pull out on the side of the road with not too much dust. Beautiful silence, amazing Blue Skies and Forest all around, Fantastic waking up to dense fog.

Review is for Sunset Bay Meadows next to the state park and next to the golf Course

Challenging one lane Gravel Road to get to beautiful Meadow after challenging entrance to golf course with few instructions on how to reach camping area. However, once there it's a beautiful and quiet and well maintained area with numerous sites including a yurt and lots of privacy , Wildlife and Greenery

Beautifully maintained Campground with decent privacy and clean bathrooms along with garbage but no hookups

If you like seeing deer walking through your Campground in the morning and the evening with lots of respectful silence and beautiful scenery near a calm and constantly running creek, then this is the place for you

Nice area to camp or pull in your RV on 3 acres of private property next to KOA.

Nice area to camp or pull in your RV on 3 acres of private property next to KOA campground. Property has a geodesic dome that is available for rent. Porta potty and fire rings on premises. Potable water available walking distance at KOA Campground and established Campground has a small store and showers available. Highway is audible but not that bad and many Shady spots to camp in. Initially gave this four stars but after having deer walk 20 ft away from me and I heard of elk grazing 30 ft away , along with tons of different types of birds, The spot is a wildlife wonder!

Very nicely maintained rV Park across the street from the beach and Inlet access

Great owner and host who is granddaughter of man who built this place. Very well maintained and kept. Only reason I didn't give this five stars is because they don't have showers but everything else is available and modern. Very friendly residents and fantastic sunset views with a 3 minute walk to a great breakfast and lunch place

Not on the lake! On a fishy smelling algae filled Creek next to a highway and very little shade

Cute but older and I mean really old RV camp on what's called a creek. I was told I could pick any Lakefront campsite but this is not the lake! They have a nice small pool and showers are included in the cost and there are full hookups available. Three Yurts available for rent. They offer kayak rentals and have plenty of boat ramps for guests but I didn't want to go into this nasty water, And I brought my own inflatable kayak. Decent for the price if you can't find anything on the lake itself but not what it is cut out to be.

Absolutely not! Nowhere to camp and a terrible road

As soon as I started going up an extremely steep hill and saw a sign that said not a through street, I should have turned around but it was impossible with my 30-foot car and trailer. I am Bart Upon A frightening , rutted, unmaintained road that is only suitable for off-road vehicles for sick four wheel drives . Barely made it out of there with everything working as it should on car and trailer and actually got stuck at one point and had to use logs to get myself traction. Do not try this and there is nowhere to stop and set up a ten , at all!

Decent but concretized camping area

Not expensive and has bathrooms, garbage, fire pits and picnic tables but no privacy and unfriendly camping ground covered with gravel and few level places to comfortably pitch a tent. Many families here but some partiers till midnight and an idiot who ran his generator all night during quiet hours

Outstanding location, Right on the river with a swimming beach and free fishing with no license required

Tons of beautiful, shady spots overlooking or near the Sacramento river. Very Breezy and well maintained park with good prices for electrical and water hookup and a dump station. Clean bathrooms and showers at no cost and the laundry room with free detergent . Decent prices in the store and overlooks the Marina and the river at includes free fishing and swimming and is a beautiful spot! was only going to stay one night and ended up staying two.

Camping under giant sequoias! What more could you want?

Beautiful, wild forest camping under huge sequoia trees in a well maintained campground with fairly well separated sites. Flush toilets and garbage disposal but no dump station or electrical or water hookups. Definitely not for big rigs and I have a teardrop trailer and my Outback which are almost 30 ft and it was quite a challenge

Fantastic but very, very remote spot

Not for big rigs! A very primitive but beautiful area. Tons of winding roads with lots of S curves Leading up to 9000 feet. Many great camping spots including close to Peppermint Creek. Completely dry area so no campfires until November. No services and no reception so pack it in and pack it out!

Beautiful but primitive Campground with many sites

Many campsites in the Uinta Forest but this one is particularly beautiful because it is open Fields with lots of tree coverage. Very primitive with no facilities whatsoever, even garbage but there are some previously created fire pits

Beautiful location with driving campsites and fire pits

Open Fields yet lots of privacy and shade. Beautiful spots but primitive. No garbage disposal, water, electricity, bathrooms, showers, etc. Pack it in and pack it out!

A few nice spots but not many and a long drive to get there

10 miles on a fairly well maintained Gravel Road to locate three or four campsites that accommodate RVs. No water, electricity, garbage disposal, etc. Some sites have fire rings. I made my own spot by moving some dead wood and created my own fire pit with available stones and tons of available dry firewood. Do not try to go past the Gated area as that is extremely rough and only meant for four wheelers.

Primitive as can be!

Entrance is marked as Firehole Campground, about 12 miles from Green river. Road is not maintained and deeply rutted. Made it about 5 mi in and created my own turnaround spot as there are none. Ended up in a previously used camping area that has no fire pits or any facilities whatsoever. Fire danger all around so didn't build one. No rocks anywhere to create a fire pit. Nice, Serene and quiet location. No Wildlife to speak of. Great for one night but no service of any kind including cell or gps.

First to Review
Beautiful location and nice Reservoir with basic facilities

Very easy to find and probably 20 to 25 Camping spots. Some hold rigs up to 35 ft. Dual vault toilet, metal fire pits dispersed. Garbage cans available and picnic tables. However, disrespect of the land and garbage in many places outside of the cans. Sound travels across the water and some disrespectful people. Nice for one night but also stayed 4th of July weekend so might be more crowded than usual. Also, very, very windy up here. Not recommended for tents

True, dispersed camping, No Frills but beautiful

The Custer fishing access site was closed for no reason so I found this spot about 30 miles from billings. Only about seven or eight pull in sights and not very large. I have a 28 ft total length and there were only one or two spots that would work. Only two spots I could find right on the Big Horn river, but a beautiful and Serene location. One Vault toilet and a couple of garbage cans in one locale. No cellular service whatsoever.
