Road Runner RV Park

RV travelers navigating Highway 63 will find Road Runner RV Park positioned just off the main route through West Plains, with concrete pads designed to accommodate rigs up to 81 feet. The park caters primarily to permanent residents and long-term workers, creating a settled atmosphere that several reviewers describe as safe and well-maintained.

Large pull-through sites provide full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections that campers report as easily accessible and in good repair. The concrete pads show some wear in places, though the layout allows for straightforward navigation without tight turns. Sites include picnic tables with adequate separation between neighbors, and a small dog park provides space for pets to exercise.

The bathhouse remains heated during winter months and offers basic facilities, while amenities like WiFi and a seasonal pool add convenience for short-term stays. "Decent water pressure" notes Charles F., highlighting one of the practical advantages reviewers consistently mention. Management receives praise for friendly check-in service and accommodating late arrivals.

Road Runner RV Park works well for overnight travelers seeking reliable hookups and easy highway access, particularly those comfortable in a setting where most neighbors are established residents rather than fellow vacationers.

Many campers appreciated the friendly hosts and large, well-spaced pull-through sites with reliable hookups. The park primarily serves long-term residents but reserves spots for short-term guests, with easy highway access and no road noise.

Nice overnight

We reserved a pull thru for an overnight stay between Memphis and Springfield, MO. This was right on the highway, but no road noise. Check in was super easy, full hook ups and easy in and out. Looks like they changed the name to Silver Springs RV park. Enjoyed the pool.

Nice park fair wifi

Very friendly and upbeat host. Loves their campground. Mostly full-timers but even though they have 18 people on the waiting list for a full time spot still they reserve several pull throughs for short term guests.  And they are expanding the park to accommodate more guests.  We were in a close to level spot with newer looking hook ups.

Permanent Resident Park

Overall: B

The Good: FRIENDLY check-in. Easily the best thing about this stay was the hospitality of the management. Not only did they allow our late check-in, provided a dinner recommendation, and a little welcome bag. The bath house was small but was warm and mostly clean (could have used a once over and trash removed). Even though we were there in late December all utilities were still on. Electrical connection even had a light to assist with connection. Lots of green space for walking the dog.

The not great: this is definitely a primarily permanent resident and we were definitely the interlopers at the site. Wish there was more trees to give a park feel.

Didn’t get to enjoy all amenities due to winter closures.

Nicely spaced and clean campground

We stayed at this campground 1 night on our way between COVID-19 quarantine locations.  We found the park easy to navigate (no tight turns).  Large semi paved spaces (I say semi paved because the concrete pads were crumbling at least in our spot).  Good separation between sites with picnic tables, no shade but they do have a dog park.  Hookups were easy to reach and appeared to be in good repair.  Decent water pressure.  Many of the spaces were permanent campers or long term workers but it felt safe and appeared well maintained.
