Small Campground, Fun

There are not a lot of campsites, which is nice. Makes it easy to get around without traffic. Very clean place. Hosts spend a lot of time cleaning campsites between each visitor. We had a ton of fun walking around the old mill and visiting with the historian working the visitor center. There are…

1st trip of summer

Stayed at this Koa for 1st time. Was escorted to my campsite. Friendly, and very helpful with getting wood, and turning on tv. Cute and quiet place, place felt safe at night.

Beautiful park over-looking the Missouri River.

We only stay overnight and arrived late.  We thought we had a site on the river but the site map is a little deceiving as the campground is a good, long hike to the river.  Sites are very private, facilities are clean and it is super quiet.

KC stopover with bbq!

We stayed in site 22 last night on our way to South Dakota. The check in experience was easy, the site was clean and place was nice. We arrived late and hungry and were able to go across the highway to KC BBQ ribs and it was delicious! They also deliver to the campground! This campground was being…

Nice place for newbies!

My little family and I just bought a travel trailer and live 1/2 a mile away from this campground so we decided this will be a good place to learn how to use our camper.

The on site manager, Paul, and his wife were amazing! Paul spent an hour showing me the in’s and out’s while helping me figure…

Good, safe place

I really liked the stay here. The only thing I wish is added on is some lights because my lights weren't illuminating as well as I thought it would and we were cooking in the dark.

Nothing shy of memory

The caretakers here are the sweetest people. Taking my 2 and 6 year old on their first camping experience we chose this place and they told us as we checked in that they wanted their 1st camping trip to be awesome...loaded us up with some complimentary firewood...let us pick out our tent plot, and…

Crammed in a tent camping field...

Let's Share COVID and a campfire song. When we booked a tent site in the KOA we didn't expect much but assumed it would work for the night while driving across the USA.  Upon arrival we were a little put off by being stuck with several other tents in a field and noticed we were expected to share…

Great Overnight Campsite

Stayed here for one night after driving down from Nebraska. Great place to set up for the night, clean bathrooms, a nice fire pit, and plenty of room to set up a tarp for the rain. Not too much privacy as there’s not very many trees around and the sites are close together but otherwise a great…

Camping is still closed

The trails in this area are open but you have to hike into all of them and the campground is still closed even though most other state parks are open. The sites are basic for tents but well laid. The trail system heads to an overlook and down to the river.
