Cabin accommodations near Natchez provide rustic to modern lodging options on both sides of the Mississippi River. River View RV Park & Resort offers cabin rentals with full hookups and convenient access to the river. Tunica Hills Campground features small A-frame cabins that require a half-mile walk to access. "The little A frame cabin was comfortable with port-o-potties that are clean and there is a shower and a sink," noted one visitor. Clear Springs Recreation Area provides cabin options in a forested setting with access to hiking trails and a lake for swimming and fishing.

Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. Lake Bruin State Park Campground maintains cabins with water views, while Paragon Casino Resort offers more upscale cabin accommodations with access to casino amenities. Most cabins require reservations, especially during peak seasons. According to a visitor at Tunica Hills, "Ms. Brenda is doing it right. She also has two small A frames back in tent site area and a 2 bedroom up front." Pet policies vary by location, with many campgrounds allowing pets in cabin areas but requiring them to be leashed.

Most cabins include basic furnishings but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Cooking facilities range from simple fire rings to full kitchens depending on the cabin type and location. Brad's Old Ferry Landing Campground & RV Park and Shelby J's RV Park both offer cabin rentals with varying amenities. On-site stores at some locations like River View RV Park & Resort provide basic supplies, though visitors staying at more remote cabins like those at Tunica Hills should bring all necessary provisions. Firewood is available for purchase at several locations, including Tunica Hills Campground where bundles cost $5.

River View RV Park & Resort

      Great Spot on the Mississippi

Lovely campground, large lots, friendly & helpful staff & campers, clean restrooms & showers. There are some nice, private spaces, but staff weren’t placing anyone in them due to storm & tornado warnings! Kept everyone close to the office & restrooms (aka storm shelter). Great walking path by the river. A little less rustic than I like, but right across from Natchez, MS which was my touristy destination

      So peaceful

Don’t let the condition of the road or the buildings scare you away from this state park. These people have had to clean up after 2 hurricanes this year. All sites in campground B are level concrete, water and electric. State park grills, picnic tables and sunken fire pits all for just 20.00 per night. 20 minutes from downtown Natchez. Great spot.

      Clear Springs Recreation Area

A great little campground for RVs or tents

Clear Springs Recreation Area, located in the Homochitto National Forest near Roxie, Ms, is probably one of my favorite campgrounds within 3 hours from New Orleans. It's located in a beautiful section of the forest, complete with rolling hills and a lake.

The primitive tent only sites are located about half a mile up the road from the main campground, providing a substantial distance between you and the RVs. The dirt road to the tent only sites is lined with individual camp sites until you reach the back area. The back has a few small hilltops that have about 4 sites per hill. Each hill is about 50 yards from each other, again, providing needed space between you and other campers. All of the sites have fire pits with fold down cast iron grills. The ground was level enough for tents, and there's a good amount of trees for hammock camping.

The RV spots are located near the lake(pond), and have picnic tables and the fire pit. Some of the RV sites are more open air and without much privacy, yet some are nestled amongst the trees on the outer perimeter.

Adjacent to the RV sites are the restrooms, equipped with showers. On a very cold and frozen winter morning, I had decided to visit the facilities. To my great surprise, when I opened the door, I was hit with blast of warm air! So you can rest easy knowing that the restrooms are heated. There is a large pavilion that is open to air on three sides. the open sides have a railing with bench seats. There are also picnic tables located within. Most interesting was the oversized stone fireplace. It looks most welcoming, although I had no chance to use it.next to the pavilion is an open picnic area with charcoal grills and more tables. All of these picnic areas overlook the pond.

I understand that there is 17 miles of hiking trails surrounding the area. It looks like a large circuit with shorter trails interconnecting by the map.

I haven't experienced this campground outside of dead winter. I enjoyed the subfreezing temps next to a hot fire. I have been four times in the last couple of years, twice solo and twice with guests. I very much love this campground.

      Tunica Hills Campground

      Mostly peaceful

You have to carry your stuff to your camp site as people have already said. Ownership is nice and helpful. You can buy a small bundle of wood for $5. Stayed in the little A frame cabin. Port-o-potties are clean and there is a shower and a sink. I also had good service the whole time(verizon.)

Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park Campground

      Solid park

My husband and I tent camped in Natchez state park February 2019. We were the only people in the park best we could tell. The bathrooms were great (always important to me),very clean, hot running water, all the essentials. The campsite was nice, no firepit, but we were able to make a fire. It was rainy when we were there, so we spent time outside the park. There are almost no hiking trails in the park, there is a nice lake, but no rental ability that we could find. They do allow hunting in the park, so you must be careful.

      Tunica Hills Campground

      Beautiful and unique

Loved this small quiet camp ground. It is basically hike-in, although the host is great enough to offer to haul your stuff with her 4WD atv cart. The common areas are a surprising bonus. Shower was lukewarm but portopotties are spotless. Dishwashing station and outdoor kitchen are icing on cake.

We stayed at the site “Wilson” which was incredible. If you don’t want / need electricity site #10 is tops.

      Clear Springs Recreation Area

      Nice family campground

$20, $13 with fed pass. 22 sites. Electric & water hookups. Dump station. Two campground loops - B: Sites 1-12, & A: Sites 13-22. Loop A is prettier that Loop B, but Loop B has more level sites which may be more suitable for larger campers. Camped at site 7 in a camper van. Large site backed against the woods with access to a hiking trail. Not much privacy between sites. Nice family campground. Sites have table, lantern post & fire ring. Picnic Area also in this rec area. Beautiful setting by the lake. Restroom/shower house needs some work. Mens shower stalls have standing water in them - possible drainage issue. Women's toilet stalls also have a similar issue due to a leaky toilet. Bugs were not too bad here in April. No AT&T & T-Mobile service at our campsite, but picked up a weak signal by the lake.

Natchez State Park - Nice, Quiet, Tucked Away

Enjoyed my stay for 3 nights. the campgrounds are tucked back in the wooded areas. You drive in from main highway and feel like you’re in a tunnel of trees; temperature drops 5-10 degrees. I was in Campground “B”; nice area with some sites on the lake. Be careful selecting your site, some are uneven and the pad sets above ground level. Sites all have a grill and fire pit. Bathhouse was clean with a washer/dryer for $1.75. Men’s had 2 showers booths. Water pressure at my site was 40 psi no issues. Park is easy access to Natchez and surrounding historical sites.
