We are located on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River in Vidalia, Louisiana, a sportsman's paradise. We are just across the bridge from Historic Natchez, Mississippi, the oldest settlement on the Mississippi. We are open year round & there is always something to do or see in our area. Our area offers wonderful opportunities for hunting or fishing, touring the many Antebellum homes in Natchez, exploring the Natchez Trace or simply relaxing & watching the river traffic as the barges & paddleboats go by. We have 135 Full Hook Up sites in our main park, Wi-Fi, 2 furnished cottages, primitive camping, clubhouse, pool, hot tub, playground, a 1.5 mile concrete walking path on the riverfront, 24 hour laundry facility, private restrooms & showers, supply store, meeting room, propane, security, RV storage, and a friendly, helpful staff!
This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. Only pay for a site that you have verified as vacant. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. This campground has 22 campsites and is generally open all year long. This location may be inaccessible at any time during the year due to weather and road conditions.

Clear Springs Recreation Areas is nestled in a secluded area of roling hills. The area, surrounded by tall stands of pine and mixed hardwood treees, provide visitors with a shady forest atmostpehere. A 10 acre lake connects both camping areas.

Okhissa lake is a 1,075 acre lake approximately 15 minutes away from the campground. It has a swim area, day use area, one boat launch. Fish that can be caught include catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and other small panfish.

This is a very nice RV Park. It’s big. Almost 150 sites, with water, sewer and 30/50 amp electric. There are also a few tent sites with electricity. It’s well kept-grass is mowed, grounds and facilities are clean. There is a playground, a dog park, pool and hot tub. Showers and bathrooms are nice. Laundry room, small grocery/gift shop. And a guest lounge. There is a paved walking trail along the river. There is also a public boat ramp about 1/4 mile away for access to the Mississippi. Internet was sport. With this many Class A motorhomes and people streaming media the server can’t keep up.

You have to carry your stuff to your camp site as people have already said. Ownership is nice and helpful. You can buy a small bundle of wood for $5. Stayed in the little A frame cabin. Port-o-potties are clean and there is a shower and a sink. I also had good service the whole time(verizon.)
GuideJust stayed one night while visiting Natchez. The staff was extremely friendly and the park was very clean with great views of the river. Excellent spot to explore Natchez from.
GuideWe spent a few days at River View RV Park in January, visiting Natchez and enjoying the view of the Mississippi River. The sites were pretty spacious and many have an unobstructed view of the river. There is even a nice paved trail on top of the levee.
The staff was super helpful with advice for what to see and where to eat. We will definitely return when the weather is warmer.
ScoutAll is true the park describes. Friendly staff, good and clean facilties, much todo around. And more, Natchez downton has a large and free parking, so you can easily do the short drive for the visit.
ScoutWe stayed here for a week starting may 1st of 2022. Sites are large, had no problem with our 36 ft fifth wheel. easy access to Natchez to visit. campground was well maintained. We would definitely come back.

This campground has large paved pull through sites with full hookups (electricity, water, and sewage). There are picnic tables, a playground, a swimming pool, a clubhouse and laundry facilities. There is also a camp store with RV essentials with name brands like Camco and they are reasonably priced. The casino has a shuttle service to take you back and forth to the casino and it runs all day and most of the night. The casino itself has a movie theater, spa, entertainment venues, an arcade for families, restaurants and a coffeehouse. My boys loved playing the basketball game in the arcade. The most amazing thing about the casino (since I am not a gambler) is their lobby. It has live alligators, fish and turtles in there. There’s also a boardwalk that connects the casino, campground and Tunica Indian museum and powwow ceremonial grounds and is also great for walking for exercise. They also have little cabins and chalets for rent at the back of the campground. They also accept Passport America.

The lodge itself has several motel suite type accommodations plus a larger main lodge that can sleep in excess of 10 people. We attended a family reunion there and it was great.
If you like to fish from a dock, boat, canoe or kayak, and are looking for an overnight getaway, this is worth a try.
RangerWe were here with a group and were assigned in sites together. Each site was spacious with FHU on concrete pads. There is one central Store, Laundry, Bathroom/Showers and swimming pool. Bath/Showers were a little worn but still waiting for a fresh seasonal coat of paint. Super walking path between sites and Mississippi River. You can watch barges making their way on the river.

Nice grass inbetween sites, lots of shade trees, but not all spots shady, concrete pads (not sure if all are but most), gravel on roads, trash pickup at site, lots of grassy areas for walking dogs, some tent sites. Very attentive and friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again, had spot 111 at the end with a great view of the mighty Mississippi River. Accepts Good Sam discount.
TravelerThis is the second time I have camped here and both times have been great! The park is on the banks of the Mississippi River just south of the bridge on the Vidalia. LA side. Great walking, biking, running path that you can follow under the bridge. Dog Park, playground for the kids, and pool. The staff always seem pleasant and there are plenty of squirrels, which my French Bulldog loves to chase. He’s a squirrel dog in his own mind! 🤣
TravelerIf you want to go camping were the GPS can't get you there but good old fashion directions will this is the place for you! Ms. Brenda is doing it right. 1/2 mile hike in or Ms Brenda giving you a ride back to the sites on her alterian vehicle. No vehicles allowed. The tent sites are leveled and so comfortable that you can sleep right on the ground. On a day trip you can drive 8 miles into Mississippi to Clarks Cteek for an awesome day of hiking that never forget. She also has to smal A frames back in yent site area and a 2 bedroom up front. You can purchase firewood on site het ready to be one with nature!! .
GuideThis campground has gracious, hospitable staff. They have a nice camp store and a sitting area with coffee. The spots are laid out with a concrete pad and the grassy space of another camper size spot for a “yard”. During special events such as the balloon races, these grassy yards are filled with campers also and the spaces are much tighter. Almost all of the slots are pull throughs.
This is an awesome place to relax and enjoy!

A beautiful walk path along the river it's all here at the park. Then 5 minutes drive is Walmart, gas, pizza, dollar tree. An awesome place to stay the night, a week or month. We Love it here. We are so happy they allow Vans.

GuideNice wide roads in the park so easy to access your site. Pool area is very nice. There are tables, chairs, rocking chairs and recliners for your use. There is a large shaded area if you don’t want to sit in the sun. The lawns throughout the park are very well maintained. Very level sites with shade. A very nice enclosed dog park along with many paths to walk your dog. Utilities all work well. Like most campgrounds, there are lots of cigarette butts on the ground and dog poop. I don’t understand why people can not pick up after themselves! WIFI is spotty along with the over air channels. There were many dead large limbs in the trees above our site. We had a bad rain storm and many fell onto our roof. Luckily, we had no damage.

Clear Springs Recreation Area,located in the Homochitto National Forest near Roxie, Ms, is probably one of my favorite campgrounds within 3 hours from New Orleans. It's located in a beautiful section of the forest, complete with rolling hills and a lake.
The primitive tent only sites are located about half a mile up the road from the main campground, providing a substantial distance between you and the RVs. The dirt road to the tent only sites is lined with individual camp sites until you reach the back area. The back has a few small hilltops that have about 4 sites per hill. Each hill is about 50 yards from each other, again, providing needed space between you and other campers. All of the sites have fire pits with fold down cast iron grills. The ground was level enough for tents, and there's a good amount of trees for hammock camping.
The RV spots are located near the lake(pond), and have picnic tables and the fire pit. Some of the RV sites are more open air and without much privacy, yet some are nestled amongst the trees on the outer perimeter.
Adjacent to the RV sites are the restrooms, equipped with showers. On a very cold and frozen winter morning, I had decided to visit the facilities. To my great surprise, when I opened the door, I was hit with blast of warm air! So you can rest easy knowing that the restrooms are heated. There is a large pavilion that is open to air on three sides. the open sides have a railing with bench seats. There are also picnic tables located within. Most interesting was the oversized stone fireplace. It looks most welcoming, although I had no chance to use it.next to the pavilion is an open picnic area with charcoal grills and more tables. All of these picnic areas overlook the pond.
I understand that there is 17 miles of hiking trails surrounding the area. It looks like a large circuit with shorter trails interconnecting by the map.
I haven't experienced this campground outside of dead winter. I enjoyed the subfreezing temps next to a hot fire. I have been four times in the last couple of years, twice solo and twice with guests. I very much love this campground.
GuideLocated close to Vicksburg, Ms. and on a small man made lake. The area is hilly and has some great hiking trails. The bathrooms are small but do have a shower. Not a lot of room for large RV's so check with them. Water and electric available as well as a dump station.

It has bathrooms with showers and swimming area in the lake, one side shallow and sandy for smaller swimmers, one side deeper. It has pavilions and tables, and great hiking trails around the lake and longer trails through the woods.
TravelerSpent the weekend camping at one of the improved sites with water on site. Site had picnic table, fire pit, and plenty of room for tents and your camp set-up. Our site had a great view of the creek and was a little more tucked away but right by the bathrooms. Trails are throughout the area, couple of fishing spots, lots of picnic areas with grills and a playground. The place was not very crowded and the US Forest Service ranger (Virginia) was very kind and helpful. We hiked some of Richardson Creek Trail, but decided to turn around because it was overgrown at points and we found ticks on our dog. Otherwise, it was a beautiful walk through the woods. Several large banana spiders set up along the way so keep an eye out! Also, the county is supposed to be under a fire burn until the end of October.
