Best Cabin Camping near Liberty, MS

Percy Quin State Park and Clear Springs Recreation Area provide cabin accommodations within 30 miles of Liberty, Mississippi. Cabins at Percy Quin feature full kitchens, air conditioning, and private bathrooms, while Clear Springs offers more rustic options with basic furnishings. Most cabins include beds, tables, and chairs with varying levels of kitchen facilities from full stoves to simple microwaves. Bathroom access ranges from private facilities in deluxe cabins to shared bathhouses for more rustic options. "The cabins are so cute, comfy and sleep 8. Also a great place for bike riding," notes one visitor about nearby accommodations.

Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. Paradise Ranch RV Resort and Bogue Chitto State Park Campground offer cabin rentals with different amenities and price points. Some cabins accommodate couples while others can sleep families of 6-8 people. Reservations are essential, particularly during summer months and weekends. According to one camper who stayed in a small A-frame cabin, "Ownership is nice and helpful. You can buy a small bundle of wood for $5." Most parks allow pets in designated cabins for an additional fee, though policies vary by location.

Most cabins include beds but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Kitchen supplies vary significantly between locations - deluxe cabins typically include cookware, dishes and utensils, while rustic options may provide only minimal equipment. Tunica Hills Campground offers small A-frame cabins with limited amenities, requiring more self-sufficiency from guests. River View RV Park & Resort provides cabin rentals with more comprehensive furnishings. Nearby general stores or on-site camp shops offer basic provisions, though many campers bring essentials from larger towns before arrival.

Natalabany Creek Campground and RV Park

    RV'S AND CABINS ONLY

This campground is for RV's and Cabin rentals only. This park has lots of things to keep the kiddo's occupied. There is a HUGE pond for catch and release fish (no swimming or boating). There is an arcade room, swimming pool, putt putt golf, and a really great creek behind the cabins. This sites are spacious with water, electric, and sewer. This is the kind of place to stay at while exploring the local area(s). Very clean park, very nice staff. The cabins are so cute, comfy and sleep 8. Also a great place for bike riding (road, not mountain). The location is just off of the Interstate with easy access.

This is definitely a vacation type park. No roughing it here.

    Bogue Chitto State Park Campground

    Spot 124 is great!

We stayed at site 124 in “Bottomland” and we loved it. New “deck” with room for a rug, fire pit, and chairs. The deck also has a picnic table with a fire pit just off the edge. There’s a creek that ran behind the spot that kept my husband busy. The only downside is that the water and electricity plug are pretty far from your camper- you may need to pack your extender.

    Clear Springs Recreation Area

A great little campground for RVs or tents

Clear Springs Recreation Area, located in the Homochitto National Forest near Roxie, Ms, is probably one of my favorite campgrounds within 3 hours from New Orleans. It's located in a beautiful section of the forest, complete with rolling hills and a lake.

The primitive tent only sites are located about half a mile up the road from the main campground, providing a substantial distance between you and the RVs. The dirt road to the tent only sites is lined with individual camp sites until you reach the back area. The back has a few small hilltops that have about 4 sites per hill. Each hill is about 50 yards from each other, again, providing needed space between you and other campers. All of the sites have fire pits with fold down cast iron grills. The ground was level enough for tents, and there's a good amount of trees for hammock camping.

The RV spots are located near the lake(pond), and have picnic tables and the fire pit. Some of the RV sites are more open air and without much privacy, yet some are nestled amongst the trees on the outer perimeter.

Adjacent to the RV sites are the restrooms, equipped with showers. On a very cold and frozen winter morning, I had decided to visit the facilities. To my great surprise, when I opened the door, I was hit with blast of warm air! So you can rest easy knowing that the restrooms are heated. There is a large pavilion that is open to air on three sides. the open sides have a railing with bench seats. There are also picnic tables located within. Most interesting was the oversized stone fireplace. It looks most welcoming, although I had no chance to use it.next to the pavilion is an open picnic area with charcoal grills and more tables. All of these picnic areas overlook the pond.

I understand that there is 17 miles of hiking trails surrounding the area. It looks like a large circuit with shorter trails interconnecting by the map.

I haven't experienced this campground outside of dead winter. I enjoyed the subfreezing temps next to a hot fire. I have been four times in the last couple of years, twice solo and twice with guests. I very much love this campground.

    Mostly peaceful

You have to carry your stuff to your camp site as people have already said. Ownership is nice and helpful. You can buy a small bundle of wood for $5. Stayed in the little A frame cabin. Port-o-potties are clean and there is a shower and a sink. I also had good service the whole time(verizon.)

    Bogue Chitto State Park Campground

    ‘Bout That Bogue Chitto

We visited Bogue Chitto after torrential rains pummeled Louisiana and Mississippi causing the park to cancel our site we had reserved with a water view in the Bottomland Loop. This really ended up being a blessing in disguise. We were forced to just pick a site when we arrived at the park (not so great for this OCD-Teacher-Planner-Mom), but after only one drive around the Upland Loop, we decided on site 2 and were not disappointed! The site backed up to a trail, and the driver side of the trailer faced a wooded area (instead of a neighboring site) which afforded us much more privacy than any of the other sites would have. Sites 9, 14, and 46 also looked nice with their awnings facing trees instead of other campsites. All sites in this loop had sewer hook ups, so that was nice. There was a concrete pad underneath the fire ring with a lifting grill, a separate grill by the wooden picnic table, and a lantern post. There was a big tent pad close to the fire ring as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed all of the hiking and biking opportunities this campground afforded us. Although the Bottomland area was closed for camping, we still checked things out for future visits. Given the choice between the two loops in the future, I think I’d choose site 2 again. Camp hosts were visible and kept the campground very clean. During our visit, there was a Dutch Oven competition, so the campground was packed.

We only were able to stay here for two nights and left wishing we could have stayed much longer! We will definitely visit Bogue Chitto State Park again.

    Tunica Hills Campground

    Beautiful and unique

Loved this small quiet camp ground. It is basically hike-in, although the host is great enough to offer to haul your stuff with her 4WD atv cart. The common areas are a surprising bonus. Shower was lukewarm but portopotties are spotless. Dishwashing station and outdoor kitchen are icing on cake.

We stayed at the site “Wilson” which was incredible. If you don’t want / need electricity site #10 is tops.

    Indian Creek Campground

    BEAUTIFUL, BUT CROWDED

We stayed here knowing that it would be full. Well, it was crowded and loud! Kids riding golf carts everywhere. Still we had a nice stay at 30 dollars a night! Ice machine, picnic table, playground, hiking trails, kayaking and fire pits. Our site # 57 needed 2 blocks to level.
