Beautiful Park!

We tent camped at Tishomingo and it was beautiful. Not only did it have nice campgrounds but the trails along the river were awesome!

Did not stay loop seems small and close to each other

We took a drive through to scope out at a potential stay over as we progress thru MS. Park looked lovely and peaceful, but the sites on the loop seemed to afford no privacy. On way in we drove past some cabins and a few RV sites that looked more secluded. Appeared to be great play ground for young…

Beautiful lake and campgrounds

We've camped here twice in the last several months.  Both times we camped in tents and had a great time.  The grounds are well kept, and the park ranger is especially helpful.  There are hiking trails and plenty of places to fish off the bank.  The lake is beautiful.  We used the restrooms and…

Beautiful Park

We stopped here as a stop on our way across the country. The sites were nice and concrete. We got in late so the site numbers were hard to see, but we figured it out. I only wish we got to stay more than a night.

This place is amazing

Tishomingo State park is one of the beautiful places Mississippi has to offer. So many hiking trails, cliffs and sites to see. Also you can visit Mississippi’s highest point only a few short miles away in the neighboring town of Iuka.

Great one nighter!

This is a no frills campground but it's great as a 1-nighter coming to or from the gulf coast. Accepts Passport America discount making the price just right. Sites are perfectly level, utilities all work great. Most sites are pull through and long enough to park without unhooking, even with longer…

Family friendly, single mom approved.

Camped for two weeks in mid fall, October 2020. Full hookups, clean bath house. Family friendly. It is dated though. Play area available, small and quant. Roads are drivable of course but need to be funded, come on Mississippi and step up.. 15-20 minutes from a supercenter on West Main Street in…

Great for families! Trash location is an issue though

The campsites were nice. They clouded full hookups, a picnic table and fire ring. The area was clean and surroundings wooded. Neighboring camping spots were adequately spaced. There were lots of areas for kids to play, including a large playground, a baseball/kickball field and hiking/biking…

Busier than expected

I camped here just one night in May 2021 on a Saturday, I got there at about 3pm and was the first there but by nightfall every site was full. People stayed quiet with the exception of a 12:30am arrival man who walked onto my site right up to my tent to I guess see if anyone was there?? I’m a solo…

Great hidden spot

We’ve frequented this small space since childhood. It’s very well remote off of HWY 30 in the Holly Springs National Forest.

It’s fairly well patrolled by game wardens and the camping spots are well maintained.

Self check in is handled at the permit box upon turning off the highway. Be mindful…

So Very Disappointed

Was scheduled to be there for 6 nights. This park is in the middle of no where. No one at guard house when we arrived about 1 pm. Finally got someone to come and show us where to park. We have a 45 ft class A. We needed a 50 amp site. Only 50 amp sites had annuals on it. Site he took us to was so…

Tishimingo State park

Another great camp

Had great camping trip at Tish again. The levee is fixed and Haynes Lake is full so bring your rod and reel. A hidden gem in Northeast Mississippi.

Bad state of disrepair

Handicap accessible" shower is far from it! You can get a wheelchair into the stall, but that is the only help. No seat in range of the shower and a stationary shower head. Vert difficult if you're an amputee with severe arthritis. Also the water, electric and general infrastructure need updating…

Tight

Gold hiking trails but most RV sites are built up for parking but a lot of sites drop off steeply right off the pavement.   Facilities are fair but dated.

Not for large RV's

One of the nicest parks in West Tennessee but not for RV's over 26 feet.  Great hiking.
