Crystal Springs RV Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Right off Interstate 35 in Ellendale, Crystal Springs RV Resort runs from May through October and caters primarily to RV travelers passing through southern Minnesota or looking for a longer-term base. The campground sits adjacent to a small pond, with some waterfront sites available, and a walking path circles the water. Highway noise from I-35 is audible, particularly at night, though at least one reviewer considered it among the quieter stops on an extended trip.

Sites here are level, full-hookup, and accommodate rigs up to 90 feet, with both pull-through and back-in configurations. Water pressure runs around 45 psi. The campground provides WiFi, though the management's own materials note it handles email better than streaming. Verizon users report three bars of cell coverage. The property has a predominantly seasonal and permanent resident population, so transient campers share the grounds with long-term guests. Reservations are available and recommended, as the self-check-in process at the entrance gatehouse is straightforward when paperwork is ready on arrival.

The pond gives anglers and paddlers a reason to linger. Cleanliness comes up repeatedly across reviews, with the restrooms, laundry facilities, and grounds consistently described as well-maintained. Pets are welcome, and while there is no formal dog park, open walking areas are available. MickandKarla W. notes that "all sites (some are waterfront) are level and offer full hookups and free Wi-Fi." Nearby alternatives include Hope Oak Knoll Camp Ground to the north and Brookside Campgrounds to the east. Crystal Springs works best for RV travelers who prioritize clean facilities, reliable hookups, and a low-friction overnight or short-stay stop.

Has a resort feel to it

Spent one night passing through Ellendale Minnesota. Our reservation paperwork was waiting for us at the gatehouse with directions to our back-in site 11. A close walk to the laundry, showers and restroom pavilion was terrific. I can’t remember but I believe this was the best campground for low road noise of our entire trip!

Nice Campground

As the campground(CG) is right off the interstate, it was easy to get to. Our check-in package was ready when we arrived at the little self-registration building at the entrance. We had requested site 40, where we had stayed two years ago, but they gave us back-in site 41 instead on the little lake. The utilities are in the middle of the site and worked well with water pressure near 45 psi. The sites are decently spaced for this type of CG. They have WiFi, but their info packet states it's not good enough for streaming but okay for email, etc. We got 3 bars on Verizon and used our MiFi since we were only here for two nights. The CG is right off I-35, so you do get some highway noise. This CG is very well kept, with mostly seasonal and permanent parties. We came in with two other 5th wheels and had no problem getting sites, but we did reserve well before our arrival. There was not a formal dog park, but there was plenty of area to walk your dog. We noted that this CG was featured in RV Life’s 2023 Discover The Best RV Parks& Resorts In Every State with this narrative:"This family-owned campground prides itself on cleanliness; there is an owner on-site around the clock to ensure it stays in top condition. The park is beautifully landscaped and has both pull-thru and back-in sites. All sites(some are waterfront) are level and offer full hookups and free Wi-Fi. There are onsite restrooms and laundry facilities that are kept sparkling clean. They also offer a lending library of books and movies. There is a large pond on the property that is perfect for fishing, kayaking, and other water sports, and there is a walking path that circles the pond." Check out the Spam Museum in Austin, MN. We thought the museum would be cheesy, but it was a nice facility and a great experience. The CG deserved this praise, and we again enjoyed our stay.

Very quiet amazing place to stay

Very quiet, nice sites. Everyone was very friendly easy to work with. It’s meant for adults no park for kids. But everyone was good with our kiddos playing outside. Very well maintained just a great park overall! Would stay again if in the area.
