This is going to be my new favorite campground when I visit Marquette!
We stayed one night in a basic cabin. AC was on upon arrival- check in/out was quick and easy !Bathrooms were immaculate! Pizza & Chicken ordered on site was a delicious dinner when we were just to tired to fuss with our own gear. Nice store too!!
We needed a quick 'pit stop' stay on our way to Colorado. We chose this one because it was one of the few open KOAs during the COViD scare, and we simply needed a basic cabin to rest for one night. We arrived late, and were very impressed with the very organized system for getting our key/campground map, and found the super clean cabin near the 'private' (access code required) bathrooms. We woke in the morning to a gorgeous sunrise coming up over the newly planted corn field. It was SPECTACULAR! We had a chance to walk around and noticed just how immaculate everything was kept. The pool looked perfectly clear and I just can't say enough. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We spent several days here last summer. It is a quiet place, easy to find and close enough to the little town. My brother lives on the other side of Lake Hartwell (5 minute drive) and he took me out on his pontoon! What a BEAUTIFUL lake with many private islands to pull up onto. We visited a local Goat farm for a fun time and fresh cheese! I loved this little KOA.
Our arrival was a little stressful. After have making a prior request for a quiet site during an advanced reservation, we were squeezed into a tight site between inconsiderate campers who had sprawled their belongings all over our site. We insisted on a different site and were placed across the bridge on a beautiful huge site on the lake! After that, everything was wonderful. There isn’t much outside of the campground but that was ok for us. Bathrooms were clean. Small store (with rude young ladies running the show), but all was tolerable. Would stay again.
This is a lovely park with lake & beach access. My site was private and had electric only. Bathrooms were very clean and neighboring campers were friendly!
Long, level, pull through. A lot of wonderful things to say - but you'll have to see for yourself! Kids love it here!
Large sites overall. Very clean bathroom. Nice pool/hot tub and a small bar (wine/beer) at the front reception area, with public fire pit.
Overall, very nice place IF you request a quiet/private site (I had requested this upon my phone call reservation… once arriving at the campground, I saw the site they were assigned to and it was tight and overly populated!) Once I spoke up, we were given a wonderful site on the lake in a very quiet area! Clean bathrooms/showers.
This is our favorite KOA! I have 4 kids and return at least 1x per year . Great family owned KOA. Horseback riding on site.
Overall, decent enough but grounds are not well kept at all. Playground is outdated and overgrown with weeds. Nice old-fashioned couple running the place (I think they need help to maintain the place). Bathrooms were clean and there is an indoor pool but I had no idea. A strange place and pricey for 'nothing much' to see or do.
