Woodchip Campground is the perfect place for your family camping in Michigan. Our 122 camping sites are grassy and shaded. Each site has a picnic table and burn barrel. We can accommodate short and long-term guests, including monthly and seasonal camping. Activities for the whole family take place on the weekends, with additional special events on holidays. The Woodchip is a great campground! It is a small campground but they have been making improvements to the sites. Sites are small and it’s tight maneuvering around but that’s standard. Loved the activities, staff was super friendly, bathrooms and pool were taken care off. Loved the food trucks and a bonus was the Outlet mall in Byron Center. Would definitely go again!

Great for families

We stayed here for 2 weekday nights. Campground was totally full. Spots are tight. Great trees surrounding the property. Tons of kids - great activities for them! Campground is clean, and staff friendly.

Great place for families

This is a nice private campground with a lot of activities for kids and families. There is a pool, bounce pillow and basketball court. There are seasonal sites and other full hook-up sites.

Family Friendly

We came here for a fall camping weekend. Kids loved going on wagon ride to find the pumpkins and then decorating them. They really enjoyed the glow wagon ride. Root beer floats Saturday night were great! Loved that they had big blow up activities for kids to do. Sites were very tight. We enjoyed being right on playground.

Fun for kids!

We love this as an easy getaway close to home. I wouldn’t call it a beautiful campground... but it is clean, and has a ton to do for kids! There are campsites in a circle around the playground, so you can sit at your site and watch the kids play. The bathrooms are clean, the pool is great, and they always have fun activities for the kids! We love the jumping pillow and sand too!
