TriPonds Family Camp Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Fishing, swimming, and a lineup of kid-focused activities keep TriPonds Family Camp Resort busy throughout its May through October season in Allegan, Michigan. The on-site fishing pond holds a healthy population of bass on a catch-and-release basis, and the swim options go beyond a single pool: campers can choose between a swimming pool and two named ponds called Big Dipper and Small Dipper. The campground also has a putt-putt course, jump pillow, playground, climbing wall, petting zoo with animals to feed, hay rides, and a small store serving ice cream.

The atmosphere here skews toward families with children, and the place fills up during themed weekends. Halloween weekend draws decorated sites and organized activities, and reviews note the campground can get packed during these events. That said, one reviewer points out the grounds are "not so big that you couldn't walk it on a little family hike," which gives a sense of the overall scale. Some seasonal campers occupy a section that reviewers describe as tightly spaced, while sites farther back tend to offer more wooded room.

Site conditions are worth factoring into your timing. Rain turns some spots muddy, and low-lying areas can collect standing water. Liz notes the owners "keep the place clean," and showers and bathrooms receive consistent positive mentions across multiple visits. Clint confirms the fishing pond "has a lot of bass," with his son landing one on each trip.

Full hookups are available for RVs up to 65 feet, with electric, water, and sewer connections plus a dump station and WiFi on-site. Cabins and cottages book early according to reviewers, so reservations in advance are advisable, especially around holiday or themed weekends. Pets are welcome. The campground sits within reach of campgrounds around Allegan for campers comparing options in the region.

Anglers or campers wanting a more rustic setting nearby might consider Dumont Lake Campground to the east, or Allegan County Pine Point Campground & Equestrian Park to the southwest for a different type of stay.

Tri-ponds Campground

We had a great time camping. Lots of activities for kids and adults. Swim options are a swimming pool and ponds (big dipper & small dipper). There is a putt-putt course, farm animals to feed, and a little store that serves ice cream. Kids can also take a hay ride thru the park.

Awesome spot

Seasonals were all pretty cool people. Great activities for kids including a bounce pad. Not so big that you couldn’t walk it on a little family hike. Has a pool and a little beach area. Stopped here on our road trip last year and plan to stop there again in June..

Good fishing pond

Very nice family campground with a lot of things for kids to do. Fishing pond has a lot of bass. My son has caught one every time we’ve been here. Catch and release only. They also have a pool, jump pad, playground, climbing wall, mini golf and petting zoo. We stayed on their Halloween weekend and it was packed full of activities for the kids. Many people in the campground decorated their sites Halloween themed. Very cool. We will be back.

Perfect Combination

Big lots, lots of activities for the kids. But there is enough space that you can just quietly enjoy your campsite too.

Camping at the playground

What a great place to camp with friends and family.  We've been going annually for 7 years.  The owners/hosts are wonderful.  They keep the place clean and looking beautiful.  They've made many improvements  also since we started camping here.  The showers and bathrooms are nice.  The atmosphere is so comfortable with very few mosquitos.  Rain can cause some rather large puddles (which  my kids immensely enjoy) but they usually dry up quickly.

Great Family Campground

Lot’s of stuff to do at this campground. Kids enjoyed fishing, mini-golf, jump pad, & play ground. There were 2 ponds for fishing. They had a bass fishing tournament Saturday and the winner won a free ice cream, which my son loved. The roads around the campground are paved and great for bike riding, skateboarding, scooters, or just taking a walk. They deliver firewood to your site, which is a plus. They even have a pizza place and ice cream shop on site. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful. We enjoyed a really nice fall weekend here. This campground will definitely be on our list of campgrounds to visit annually.

Family First

One of the best family camp grounds we've stayed at. Cabins and cottages are great (book early) nice RV sites. On-site food is really good compared to most.

Lots to do

We enjoy Triponds for camping! There is a lot to do to keep kids busy. We were there one year and had no issues with our site but last year it rained all weekend and our site was super muddy! If it's not rainy it's a super fun campground! We still enjoyed our weekend despite being muddy

Staff is very friendly.

Enjoyed having a pond, pool, playground, jump pillow and more!
