Eight sites, six of them fronting the river directly, define the layout at Forks State Forest Campground in Williamsburg, Michigan. Sites are level, with mature trees suited to hammock setups, and a hand pump provides the water supply. Road noise from a nearby road is noticeable at night but moderate. The campground runs April through October, costs $20 per night, and accepts RVs up to 20 feet. Paddlers will note the canoe and kayak launch adjacent to the sites. Scheck's Place Trail Camp sits a few miles southwest for those wanting a different configuration.

Loved it

Place was gorgeous! Only 8 camp sites, quit and rustic. Clean fire pit and site. We also had the best camp neighbors ever.

Secluded and Nice

Great state forest campground. Eight sites with six right on the river. Room for two vehicles per site. Level for tents and plenty of good trees for hammocks. Right next to a canoe/kayak launch. Hand pump for water. Separate men and women outhouses. Road is a bit loud during the night but not too bad.
