Nice private sites. Stupid campground layout. Good stargazing. Piney fresh smell. No cell service.
Love this campground for a good weekend stay. Small campground but there’s some nice wooded sites and some more open sites. Looks like there’s some full hook ups. A few trails walking distance from the campground.
The old growth trail is beautiful and really well maintained. The trees are crazy…

Nice little campground in the forest. Only a couple other campers so it was really quiet. Short drive to the scenic byway with beautiful views. Outhouses were maybe the cleanest I’ve ever seen. There was a camp host but we didn’t get a chance to meet her. Only draw back having an RV is there is no…
This was a really awesome campground we found kind of last minute when things didn’t work out at the other place we were trying to camp, and we were not upset about it at all. We actually we’re happy our plans fell through, because the site was better than the one we were trying to get at another…

We visited this park one day on our 10 expedition, found some Petoskey stones on our hunt, and had an amazing swim to close out our evening witnessing one of the most magnificent sunsets I’ve ever seen. My one “thumbs down” about the place is that there is absolutely no dog beach at all. Boo to…

Great little sites within the trees and near the Devoe Lake, which has a small beach. Lots of trails, lakes and the Rifle River which was awesome to float down. Pit toilets were clean. They have wood for sale at the entrance of the park.

Site 52 and sites in immediate area was over 12” out of level from front to back. Looked like our camper was doing a wheelie. Check in nobody around signs said use yellow phone on board. Is this safe during covid? I called 800 number listed on board on cell phone the lady was mad and said I had…
We enjoyed our tent camping 4-day experience at this wonderful, clean, & friendly place.
Spacious, pit toilets, no dump. The lake looks nice, but the campground is very buggy. So many mosquitos it is hard to sit outside. Many ORV trails, but they are also very loud.
Great location, right on lake Huron. Close to Alpena and the dinosaur park. Quiet with moderately large sites.
Pros: Location! 25 minutes from Mackinaw City, 10 Minutes from Pellston for supplies. Right on Burt Lake. Clean pit toilets. Generally not too crowded.
Cons: Small sites, especially for a Statr Forrest Campground. Can be pretty loud.
Nice beautiful campground situated in a nice woods setting. Sprayed for bugs so the bugs were not much of a nuisance. The camp sites are a nice firm gravel and pretty level. We didn’t even have to use leveling blocks. Facilities were very very clean and well kept. The owners are awesome and very…
The owners were constantly driving around and correcting people. Rules are okay but they were over the top. They would even stop and just stare at our site while we sat outside.. it was very odd. Also not kept up at all. The playground was old and my 30 lb dog slipped out from under the “dog park”…
I stayed in the corner lot next to the playground. I spent a lot of time off the campsite during the day but at night the view was great. There was more than enough room for my tent. There was a nice spot to hang a hammock next to the road. It was a great experience

Nice little metro park for tent camping. Most sites are dispersed. You can pull your car up to the site for unpacking.
Modern bathrooms and a snack shop on site.
Park offers kayak, canoe, and row boat rentals. Also paddle boards.
Disc golf and regular golf available.
Nice sandy beaches.
