State Park

This quaint campground sits on the majestic Platte River shaded by a thick canopy of Michigan hardwoods. It is located in Benzie County, just 2.5 miles southeast of Honor via US-31 and Goose Road.

This campground is managed by Interlochen State Park.

It is home to 26 sites for tent and small-trailer use. It provides visitors with excellent canoeing and trout fishing opportunities and and is also located near the Platte River Hatchery. Campground amenities include vault toilets and potable water from well-hand pump. This campground allows ORVs to be ridden from your campsite to access local roads open for ORV use by. All other ORV use within the campground is prohibited. No reservations.

nice

very nice state forest campground with large sites right on the beautiful platte river. can get crowded on summer weekends. off season and weekdays you might have the place to yourself. can get muddy if there’s been a lot of rain.

Beautiful spacious sites!

Great campground! Huge sites, lots of room between sites. Most are shaded. Vault toilets. Water by a hand pump. Many campers were fishing for salmon on the Platte River. We loved it.
