Part of Michigan's state park system, Stoney Creek Trail Camp operates as an established campground from April through October in the forested terrain near Onaway. The facility provides both drive-in and walk-in access, allowing campers to pull vehicles up to dispersed sites for unloading before moving cars to designated parking areas.
Modern restrooms with showers serve the camping area, along with drinking water and picnic tables throughout the grounds. The park maintains a snack shop on-site and rents kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and paddleboards for water activities. Recreational options include disc golf and regular golf courses, plus sandy beach access. Cell service reaches the campground, and the facility accommodates pets and meets ADA accessibility standards.
