Rustic & Off The Beaten Path

Pine Grove is deep into the woods, the dirt road to get there can be challenging for small cars after a rain or with any amount of snow.

If your looking for seclusion, this small 6 site campground is great. Direct river access for fishing and immediate access to hiking trails it’s perfectly nested in the middle of the state forest.

There is a vaulted toilet along with an artesian well for fresh clean drinking water. The only gripe I had is that the fire pits are so deep that if your looking for a fire to help keep warm, these fire pits simply will not do.

Always lots of wildlife to listen to especially the Elk in the fall months.

Way Off the Beaten Path

If you like to get away, this campground may be just what you’re looking for. There are only about 8 sites in the remote location, and they always seem to fill up fast! The location is a fantastic spot to see or hear elk, as well as a great place to fish the Pigeon River.

The road leading into this location is well worn and rutted. The twists and turns will make getting an RV in a fun experience, but you can do it. I’m always amazed at the size of some of the units that make it back there.

This is a secluded, out in the back woods, rustic campground!
