Interlochen Green lake North

It was a nice stay, we went in September and almost had the place to ourselves aside from 3 other campers. The sites are well spaced. Some do offer more shade than others though. There is quite a bit of road noise being right off of M137 so keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. It was nice waking up to hearing loons calling on the lake though. The campground doesn’t have any trails or a nice beach, but there’s lots to do nearby. Sleeping bear dunes and the Leelanau peninsula are within driving distance.

Pretty average

Pretty average state park with very little to do. It is closeish to Traverse City. Sites were small, bathrooms were clean. Near the Interlocken Center for the arts.

State Park is Literally Just a Campground

It’s clean. Sites are nice and big. The Green Lake is clean but no beach. There aren’t any trails or activities. It’s a letdown in terms of the state park. It’s close to better things to do. I’d recommend staying in Sleeping Bear or Traverse City instead.

One of my annual visits!

Small campground with absolutely stunning views of the lake! The "beach" area is a bit rocky and I wouldn't recommend actually swimming there, but there's decent fishing and it's very quite. It's also conveniently located with lots of local firewood stands and places for food.

Sites can flood

The sites weren’t bad but one of our sites turned into a small pond overnight during a rain storm. There are some stairs that lead right on down to the water which was really cool.

Small rustic loop located right off green lake with nice views and beach.

Some of the sites are located right off the main road, which leads to lots of noise during the day and night. Some sites are also very close together and fairly small. Beautiful views of green lake are available throughout the campground and put toilets are well taken care of. The beach is a little rocky and mucky, but a nice place to swim. Close to stores and restaurants if needed.

Great rustic

If you are going to this state park camp at the green lake rustic sites! These sites are bigger and more spread out. I had a spot that was great for my hammock. Some right on the lake! One of my favorite campgrounds. Pretty quiet. Close to rivers.

Quiet

Quiet other than traffic noises once in awhile. Rustic. Stairs provides for entrance into Duck Lake, be careful, the state park was warning campers about swimmer's itch.
